Loving & Patient Animal Caregiver
I had been a dog parent for 20 years to a wonderful Shih Tzu who became blind due to old age and a beautiful German Shepherd that developed a degenerative disease. Both are now angels who have peacefully passed on. I have fostered and trained dogs, puppies and have experience with cats. I'm comfortable caring for seniors and giving medication. I offer patience and gentle care to other loving families and their pets through the experiences and skills I gained when providing end of life care to my own. Additionally, I'm currently an SPCA volunteer and have a Certificate of Completion for the FearFree Shelter Program.

I greatly understand the trust it takes to allow someone else to provide the same love that you would give your pet, especially if they have special needs, behavioral issues or are getting older. I'm committed to providing as much updates as you require for peace of mind when in my care and building relationships for regular services. Exterior cameras at your home are fine, however I don't feel comfortable accepting services with interior cameras. Thank you for your understanding!

Another great homestay experience with Amberlyn! Care was stellar as always, the pets were happy to see her, and we were able to relax while we were away knowing that they had excellent care. Photo updates were fun to see, and it's clear that all the animals were enjoying her stay.

Amberlyn was the best dog sitter we’ve ever had. From the moment we met her, we were thoroughly impressed with her professionalism, communication, and ability to connect with our pup. Our dog was SO happy and so well cared for the entire time we were away - she definitely earned our fulsome trust. Our house was also very well cared for and left in clean, great condition. We cannot recommend her enough!
Amberlyn took perfect care of our shy girl. It was obvious she cared about our dog and gave her the time she needed to come out of her shell. Our dog can also be reactive but Amberlyn understood our techniques to manage that. We had lots of updates and our apartment was very tidy! Thank you Amberlyn :)
Amberlyn took excellent care of our two pups, Marner and Oaklee, while we were away for an extended weekend. Her communication was excellent throughout the entire time we were away, with lots of pictures and regular updates throughout each day, and she did great with managing our senior pup, Marner's, medical needs. Both pups were happy and smiling in every picture we received, and clearly had a great time with Amberlyn! We would definitely recommend her to others!

Schedule
I work a hybrid schedule and often work from home where I have time throughout the day, evenings and on most weekends and holidays to give the attention your pet needs. I'm unfortunately unable to accommodate 24/7 or round the clock if required for medical or behaviour reasons. Please send me a message for more information about this for your specific dates.
