Pet care experience

Flexible for your everyday needs!

I have always been an animal lover and have had pets throughout my life. I have experience caring for a variety of animals including dogs, cats, birds, and small mammals such as hamsters and guinea pigs. I am also experienced in basic grooming, such as bathing, brushing and nails. I am able to follow specific care instructions provided by a veterinarian. I understand the importance of providing consistent care and affection to pets and strive to create a positive and safe environment for them. I believe that proper pet care involves not only meeting their physical needs, but also providing mental and emotional stimulation to ensure their overall well-being.

She did a great job caring for my cats while I was in Kansas City on work. Sent updates, pictures, and in general has a great attitude. Would highly recommend.

Amberli is a kind and caring young lady. She watched my dogs while me and my husband were out of town, and I thought they were almost disappointed when we came back!

Safety, trust & environment

When dog sitting, I prioritize pet care safety at all times. This includes providing the dog/cat with fresh water and food, ensuring that they have proper identification, and never leaving them unsupervised. I am also aware of any potential hazards in the home or outside, such as cleaning chemicals or plants that may be toxic to dogs. If the dog/cat is not familiar with the environment, I do my very best to carefully introduce them to the new surroundings and make sure they are comfortable. Additionally, I follow any specific instructions or guidelines provided by the dog/cats owner, such as administering medication or following a specific feeding schedule. Overall, I am attentive and proactive in regards to pet care safety, to ensure a happy and healthy experience for both the dog/cat and you!

Pets

A typical day

As an experienced dog sitter, I enjoy spending time with dogs and finding fun activities to keep them entertained and exercised. I like to take the dogs on long walks in the park or on hiking trails, play fetch in a open field, and also do some training exercises to keep their minds active. I also like to take them to dog parks to socialize and play with other dogs. I always make sure to pay attention to the individual needs of each dog and tailor activities accordingly to make sure they have a great time while under my care

I typically ask for: 1. Breed: Knowing the breed helps me understand the dog's temperament and any specific needs that may come with it. 2. Training and socialization: Knowing the dog's level of training, and if they have experience being around other animals and people, helps me understand how to handle them. 3. Health: Knowing any current health issues, such as allergies or chronic conditions, that may require special care, will help me provide the best care possible. 4. Behavioral Issues: Knowing if the dog has any behavioral issues such as fearfulness, separation anxiety, aggression, or any other behavioral problems that may need to be addressed, is important to ensure the safety of other animals and myself. 5. Feeding and Medication schedule: Knowing the dog's feeding schedule and any medication they are taking is important for me to follow the owner's instructions and to keep the dog healthy. 6. Emergency contact: I always ask for emergency contact information in case of any unforeseen circumstances. Having this information ahead of time allows me to provide the best care possible for each dog and make sure that their time with me is comfortable and enjoyable!
