Aloha! I’m Amber, a pet sitter based in Grand Junction, Colorado, with 14 years of pet care experience. I currently offer boarding in my home for up to two dogs from the same household at a time, allowing me to provide each guest with plenty of individual attention and care. I strive to provide a comfortable, home-like environment where your pets can feel safe and settled while you’re away. - In addition to dogs, I have previous experience caring for cats, birds, reptiles, and other small animals. I’m not currently offering standalone boarding services for these pets; however, additional pets from the same household may be considered when boarding your dog. - At this time, I’m only offering boarding in my home and am not available for in-home pet sitting at other locations. I work from home, so I’ll be available throughout your pet’s stay to help maintain their normal routine and make sure they feel comfortable and secure.

Safety, trust & environment
My home has a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time, play, and potty breaks. I also have a 20 lb male Havanese who lives in the home. - For safety and to help everyone adjust comfortably, I accept no more than two guest dogs at a time. Guest dogs are given time to explore, unpack, settle in, and become comfortable in a new environment before being introduced to my dog. Introductions are done one-on-one, with distractions minimized, and under my close supervision. - Playtime is supervised, and dogs can be separated using playpens or kennels as needed for individual enrichment activities. Dogs are also separated during mealtimes based on their individual needs, feeding habits, and comfort levels. If your dog prefers their own space or does not get along with my dog, separation accommodations are available at any time throughout their stay. - At this time, I only offer pet sitting in my home and am not available for in-home sitting at other locations.

A typical day
If you would like your dog to participate in outings such as trips to the dog park or other special socialization activities, these services are available for an additional fee with advance notice. - For your dog’s safety, please provide information about their behavior while riding in a vehicle, comfort getting in and out of a vehicle, experience in public settings and around unfamiliar dogs or people, and recall reliability. - All outings and special socialization activities require your prior knowledge and approval. - Stays of 10 days or longer include a complimentary bath. If your dog has any skin sensitivities or allergies, specific bathing needs, preferences or aversions to water or dryers, please let me know prior to their stay.

- Before your dog’s stay, please provide the following information so I can keep their routine consistent and be prepared for their care: - Feeding routine: Is your dog free-fed throughout the day or on a set meal schedule? Please include feeding times, portions, and any dietary restrictions or allergies. - Medications: Please list any medications or supplements, including dosage, frequency, and instructions for administering them. - Your contact information: Best phone number(s) to reach you during your dog’s stay. - Emergency contact: Name and phone number for someone I can contact if you cannot be reached. - Veterinary information: Preferred veterinary clinic, veterinarian’s name (if applicable), and phone number. - Daily routine: Typical potty schedule, bedtime/wake-up routine, exercise needs, and any other routines you would like maintained. - Behavior: Please let me know about any separation anxiety, resource guarding, reactivity, escape tendencies, destructive behaviors, or other behavioral concerns. - Socialization: How does your dog typically interact with other dogs? Please mention any known issues with male or female dogs, puppies, or dogs of particular sizes. - Special care: Please include any medical conditions, mobility limitations, recent injuries, allergies, or other care instructions I should be aware of. - Bathing: Stays of 10 days or longer include a complimentary bath. If your dog has any skin sensitivities or allergies, specific bathing needs, preferences or aversions to water or dryers, please let me know prior to their stay. - Please provide a copy of your dog’s current vaccination records prior to their stay. All dogs must be up to date on the following required vaccinations: • Rabies • DHPP/DAPP (Distemper/Parvo combination) • Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
