I am currently in school for a second career, and it's an online program so I spend the vast majority of my time at home - unless I'm at yours. I already very focused on taking care of our own pets, so adding clients' pets into the mix will be easy!

Given the unique needs of every animal, I believe flexibility to accommodate their individual needs is vital. I have extra rooms for pets who are scared, and there are three adults in my house to help monitor interactions with new (to us) pets. Each pet that stays in my home will be met with whatever they need - quiet spaces, play time, ample potty breaks and/or walks, one-on-one time to eat if they're nervous...these are just examples of the accommodations that can be made!

I need to know about any and all medical conditions your pet has. Do they tend to eat things they shouldn't? Do they have kidney disease? Does your pet have CH? Do they have mobility issues? Are they reactive in certain situations? Any information is helpful!
A typical day
There is a large dog park less than 10 minutes from my house, and, if your dog is social and likes the play time, we will definitely go there. If they prefer solitary excursions, I live right by the Smith Creek Reserve, so we'll have wilderness walks. If you bring your cat to me, we'll wait until they're acclimated before initiating play, but toys will be available, as well as catnip and quiet spaces.

While there are many people out there who are animal lovers, I come with the added benefit of extensive medical knowledge due to my former career as a licensed vet tech. When your pets are with me, I am uniquely qualified to administer meds, carefully note changes in behavior, provide emergency care when needed, and I'll know if they need to be taken to a vet with minimal guess work involved.
