Your Pet’s New Best Friend
I’m a college student currently on summer break with a very flexible schedule, which allows me to be available for walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and pet care throughout the week. Since I’m home full-time, I can often accommodate last-minute bookings as well. I can also speak and understand French quite well, though I’m not perfectly bilingual. I’ve always been a huge animal lover and have experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters. I currently help care for my one-year-old dog, whom I raised from a puppy, and my nine-year-old cat at my mom’s house. Caring for pets throughout my life has taught me patience, responsibility, and the importance of understanding each pet’s unique personality. I truly love both cats and dogs and will treat your pets with the same care, attention, and affection I give my own. For boarding, I live in a large home with plenty of space and access to over an acre of outdoor property and nearby forested areas for walks and exploration. I also have a hamster in a secure enclosure, which can be kept in a separate room if needed. While I can’t host cats in my home due to family allergies, I’m happy to care for cats through drop-in visits or house sitting. When caring for pets in your home, I want them to feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. Whether that’s daily walks, trips to the dog park, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to their usual routine, I’ll make sure they receive the care they’re used to. I’ll also send plenty of updates, photos, and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is to make every pet feel loved, safe, and cared for while you’re gone.

I prioritize safety, trust, and making pets feel comfortable whether they are in my home or a client’s home. In my home, I provide a clean, calm, and supervised environment that helps pets feel secure and relaxed. In a client’s home, I carefully follow all instructions, respect their space, and stick to the pet’s normal routine. I always ensure doors are secure, provide fresh food and water, clean litter boxes regularly, and pay close attention to each pet’s comfort and behaviour.

Amber was great! She was available on short notice and was very attentive and kind. I would definitely recommend her for those looking for a sitter for any dog. Our dog has special needs and Amber was ready to take that on and did an excellent job. I will look to book her again.
Amber is an excellent dog sitter. She babysat our 2 dogs and provided many updates and photos. Gave our pups lots of love and Took them for walks daily. Absolutely wonderful personality and the dogs loved her!

Amber has always had a natural connection with animals of all kinds, from small pets to larger animals. She has cared for hamsters, cats, fish, dogs, and chickens, always showing patience, gentleness, and a genuine sense of responsibility. One of her strengths is that she takes the time to learn and do her research to ensure an animal’s needs are properly met. She is intuitive, attentive, compassionate, and highly respectful of each animal’s individual personality and well-being. Having seen the care and dedication she gives to my own cat and dog (including teaching them tricks and enriching their daily lives) I have complete confidence in her ability to care for other people’s pets as well. She is truly in her element when working with animals.

Schedule
Pet care fits well into my routine because I have a flexible schedule and can easily plan around visits, walks, and feeding times. I’m consistent and reliable, and I always make sure pets stick to their normal routine.
