I am a substitute teacher in the Camas school district, but currently looking to make a career change so I am currently working from home. My schedule is very open and I am definitely going to be spending lots of time with my fur babies, going on walks, cuddling, playing fetch (one of my kitties loves to play fetch incessantly, too:)), running, hiking, etc. I’d love to show your fur babies a good time:)! I’m also happy to drop in and love on kitties, chickens, critters, etc🥰.

I have a fenced yard and easy access to a trailhead into Lacamas Park w great hiking trails. I follow schedules and rules as requested so as to give your fur babies as much consistency as possible. I use positive reinforcement for training w my pups and I rely on the same for other pets unless specifically asked to do something differently. I want to make sure you and your pets are as comfortable as possible:). I have quite a bit of experience with different breeds and temperaments, as well as giving meds. I always do everything I can to make sure animals feel safe and loved when in my care🥰.

I would like to know what house rules your pups follow at home so I can be consistent with them while they are in my care. For instance, are they allowed on furniture, etc? My pups are allowed on furniture, but only when invited. Consistency is important and I am happy to accommodate either way:). Also, if you have pets that don’t fit the exact stipulations set on my profile, feel free to message me and I may be able to accommodate ?.
A typical day
I love to go for walks and runs in Lacamas park- so many great trails to explore! Cottonwood Beach is a great place for pups and it’s a beautiful reprieve as well:). I have quite a plethora of experience w pups of varying degrees of temperament, character and playfulness so I definitely don’t interact w every dog in the same way. Some dogs enjoy more activity, fetch, walks, etc, while others enjoy more affection and cuddle time. I couldn’t do life without dogs- or animals in general, for that matter. I’m flexible and loving. Your dog(s)/pets will definitely be tended to and loved on while they’re in my care:).

Pet care experience
I love all animals and grew up with something of a small farm when I was a kid. I have 2 very lovable, well-behaved pups of my own as well as 4 very sweet, and dog-friendly cats. I have recently adopted two, very friendly kittens who love dogs as well. They are all what those in the know call “foster fails🥰.” I have been a volunteer foster w the OR Humane Society for over 8 years (I’ve been volunteering w OHS longer than I’ve been providing services on Rover) and I have a lot of experience having dogs, puppies, cats and kittens w varying temperaments, and sensitivities in our home. My daughter (18 yrs old) and I have fostered many dogs, cats, puppies and kittens in our home and have had lots of fun dog sitting through Rover as well! We have fostered somewhere around 60-70 animals over the years, and my 6 fur babies found their forever home with us because I could not bring myself to give them back- haha. That’s why they’re lovingly referred to as “foster fails.” My furry boys are also very good hosts;). I am a substitute teacher for the Camas School District, and have been in Camas for 10 years :). I have lots of love to give to your fur babies! *Just for clarity, dogs can occasionally be allowed on furniture when invited, but if you don’t allow your dogs on the furniture or have any other specific rules I will absolutely respect them:). I use positive reinforcements for training and I have experience with dogs who have suffered abuse so I know how important it is to be flexible and patient when making sure every dog in my care feels safe and loved. I would love if you’d let me show your pup a good time!:)

Amber was super responsive and helpful and took great care of my big buddy. Definitely felt great about leaving Lincoln with Amber for the day, and would highly recommend her.
Amber really saved us from a sticky situation when our house sitter fell through for Easter weekend at the last minute. She was awesome - took great care of the animals, including our chickens, and left the house clearner than she found it. Great communicator and a calm, authoritative personality. We will definitely hire her again when we travel!
Amber was wonderful with our two large dogs and four cats. We loved all her photos and videos and she handled a couple of hiccups with our automatic gate etc with good judgement and kept everyone safe and happy. We’d love to have her back again any time!
So awesome knowing my cats were cared for by someone who is so caring and thoughtful as Amber. I will most definitely ask for her again in the future.
