I do not accommodate pets in my own home (I do not have a yard). If dogs are outside at all I will be there with them, I will never leave a dog unsupervised outside the home. If we do walks then I make very sure that everyone is secure and safe. (I do have experience with escape artists)
Information Amber P. would like to know about your pet
Just tell me about them! Do they like to chill? Play? Cuddle? For serious stuff: If your pet is an escape artist or likes to bolt as soon as the chance arises, I would prefer to know ahead of time. I also would like to be informed if the pet has any history of biting or lashing out. It doesn’t bother me, and won’t affect how I treat the dog - but it’s an important bit of info. If the pet can become aggressive over certain things (taking toys, needing space, specific noises or clothing items) I will also need to know that.
A typical day
Depending on weather, I usually like to do walks early morning to beat the heat - or later if it’s chilly. I love playtime and helping stimulate their brains, which includes any sort of training they may have (want them to practice their sit? I can do that!). If they are more chill or older, I’m more than happy to cuddle on the couch or just be around while they do their own thing. Afternoon is usually when I do any minor housekeeping that needs done - refilling water, emptying litter, tidying toys. Another walk after dinner to work out the nighttime zoomies, and then more lounge/cooldown time. Of course, this is just a general idea of how a day would go - I am very adaptable and more than willing to change it up!

Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs, and have owned both cats and dogs. I love bigger dogs (more to cuddle!!) and will insist on stopping my partner to pet every dog I see. I have experience dealing with aggressive/territorial dogs, have house-sat for households with numerous dogs and households that needed several days of care, and dealt with senior dogs. I can care for cats, dogs of all ages, and even once petsit a gecko!
Cat care experience

Amber also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews

Amber is great with our babies. She spends quality time with them and we are comforted by her being there when aren’t able to be. -Lindsay & Brian

Amber was amazing! She took great care of my girl and she truly made her feel safe and loved while I was away. She handled everything so well and provided great care for my sweet girl. I got pictures, videos, and updates all within a timely manner. Would 100% recommend Amber to anyone!
Amber loves animals! She has always been the one who stops to pet every dog and rescue ever cat she finds. Amber cares for animals probably more than her own family members and loves to spend time cuddling and caring for them. Amber has taken care of our two cats while we've been on long holidays. She is responsible, timely, communicative, and polite. Amber did everything we asked while we were away and our two cats were well-taken care of. She fed them, refilled water bowls, and scooped litter boxes. Both of the cats loved her lap times and I appreciated that she took the extra time to give them some attention while she was there. Amber has also taken care of our dog who has since passed away. The dog was a fear-aggressive dog who did not like strangers. Amber was patient but firm with her and got a lot of experience with this kind of dog. I would trust her to take care of any temperament because she is able to understand and work with the dog's quirks. Amber fed the dog and let her out to potty on a consistent schedule.
