Availability
I work remotely with a pretty typical 9-to-5 schedule, but I have flexibility and breaks throughout my day that allow me to give dogs lots of attention and regular potty breaks. Most days include a longer walk in the morning before work, a quick lunchtime walk, another longer walk in the evening, and one last potty break before bed. Because I’m home throughout the day, dogs in my care usually aren’t left alone for long stretches of time.

Safety, trust & environment
Creating a calm, safe, and comfortable environment is always my priority. I live in a peaceful apartment community with walking trails, open outdoor space, and a gated dog park for pups who enjoy off-leash play. Because I’ve fostered dogs before, I have experience helping dogs adjust to new environments, routines, and people with patience and care. I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible and can accommodate things like medications, crate routines, feeding preferences, or special care instructions. For boarding and day care clients: My profile may show two dogs, but the second dog belongs to my boyfriend and does not live with me full time. We travel together often and use Rover ourselves, which is why he appears on my profile as well.

Information Amber O. would like to know about your pet
Before a stay, I’d love to know about your dog’s personality, routine, energy level, and any special needs or behaviors I should be aware of so I can make them as comfortable as possible. Things like feeding schedules, medications, crate preferences, potty routines, fears, triggers, and how they do around other dogs are all very helpful. Good communication beforehand helps me make sure your pup has a safe, comfortable, and successful stay.
A typical day
A typical day usually includes walks, playtime, enrichment, cuddles, and plenty of downtime to relax and feel at home. I try to tailor care to each dog’s personality and energy level. Some dogs want lots of activity and stimulation, while others are happiest lounging nearby while I work from home. I love giving dogs opportunities to explore new smells, stay mentally stimulated, and feel included throughout the day rather than just “checked in on.”

Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Amber. My love for dogs started years ago volunteering at the Humane Society and continued through fostering, pet sitting, and even working at Nestlé Purina’s corporate headquarters (yes, dogs really did come to the office 😊). I work remotely from home, which allows me to provide lots of supervision, companionship, walks, and a calm environment where dogs can settle in comfortably at their own pace. I have experience with dogs of different personalities, energy levels, and care needs, and I always aim to make them feel safe, loved, and well cared for while they’re with me. I also know how important communication is when trusting someone with your pet, so I’ll always keep you updated with photos and check-ins throughout their stay. For daycare and boarding clients: I have one dog in my home, my sweet 30-pound rescue pup, Leila (the dog in my profile photo). She’s spayed, very friendly, and has always done great around other dogs.
Reviews

Thanks for the great care!

Amber is very caring and flexible. Peaches had a great time with her !!
Amber always takes the best care of Mogli! He was so excited to see her and Leila. Highly recommend her.

Amber expressed availability for a last-minute dog walking for when I couldn’t walk my dog due to not feeling well and I had reached out to another dog walker to come walk my dog in 1.5 to 2 hours from the request. Unfortunately, she just never showed up and when I tried calling and messaging her, she never responded until later, saying her phone had died and she was five minutes away. I have cameras and she said she was here, but as you can see on my camera, she was not here. My pup was barking because he needed to use the bathroom and it already been past the time. I’ve never had this occur before where someone doesn’t show up to walk my pet so we won’t be utilizing Amber in the future and I highly recommend that you keep honesty if you cannot come even if it’s last minute.
