Availability
As a college student (note that my family dogs are back home, not here), my schedule can be inconsistent, but I will try my best to be flexible and accommodate requests. I'm most available on Mondays, Wednesday evenings, and Thursday afternoons. Feel free to still reach out for any time though, I may be randomly available!

Safety, trust & environment
When I’m caring for pets in your home or out on a walk, I always prioritize safety and respect for both the animal and the space. I take time to get to know your dog’s energy level and comfort zones so they feel secure while you're away. I make sure doors are locked, feeding instructions are followed, and that your dog gets the attention and movement they need. I’m experienced with handling multiple dogs at a time, puppies, and large breeds.
Information Amber L. would like to know about your pet
Before our first visit, it’s helpful to know: - Feeding instructions, or any diets/allergies - Any reactivity or known triggers (other dogs, bikes, loud noises, etc) - Any health conditions, medications, or physical limitations - Walking habits (pulling, special leashes, etc) If you want, I’m also always happy to meet in-person before you book so I can get to know your dog and their routine ahead of time.
A typical day
I always take a moment to let your pets settle in and feel comfortable with me when first meeting. On walks, I like to match their pace. Afterward, I make sure they have fresh water, give them some extra playtime if they're up for it, and follow any other feeding or care instructions you've left. I can also send pictures and updates along the way.

Pet care experience
Hey, I'm Amber! I love spending time with animals of all types, and can't wait to meet your own pups. Right now, I'm a senior student at UMich in Ann Arbor. *** If this is your first time booking with Rover, you can use my referral link here to get $20 off your first booking! https://www.rover.com/sit/amberl44735 *** I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, and back at home, my family has an easygoing 8-year-old golden retriever and a high energy 1-year-old red fox lab. Before that, my childhood dog was another red fox lab that made it to 14. I've gone through it all with dogs, from the puppy phases to senior care, so I'm super comfortable with all ages, sizes, energy levels, and personalities. I’ve pet sat and walked dogs for many neighbors over the years, so I know the importance of clear communication with owners. Whether your dog needs a long walk, a slow stroll, or just some extra attention during the day, I'm down for anything!
Reviews

Amber was great with our Luke. We were traveling to Ann Arbor and staying in a hotel. Needed a babysitter to entertain Luke while we were at our event. Would recommend her!

Amber was great with our pup. She has an easy going way that fits an excitable puppy well. We appreciated her responsiveness.

Amber is great! She was super responsive and great with our pup. We will book again!

Amber provided a drop-in service for my dog Blaze and Blaze had a blast! Amber is a very responsible, responsive, and caring dog lover who I would book again :)
