I am currently in school part time and I work as a house cleaner on the days that I do not have school. I typically work 6 hours a day (3 hours a house), having time to stop and check on doggies in between houses and in between classes as well. I have a beautiful family at home so on the weekends I typically like to spend time with them, while checking on the pups throughout the day and staying overnight with the pups! My partner, his 6 year old son, our Corgi Coffee and I have made the decision to open our home up for boarding allowing us to all care and love on the pups while also being able to have more quality family time together.

While at the home of other pets I try and make the pet feel as comfortable as possible while their owners are away, making sure to keep their routines about the same. I will have owners leave instructions of care for me, along with feeding times, if they have any silly personality traits or triggers, leave any medications they may need, etc. I always make sure to know where the food, toys, leash and treats are. In my own home, owners can bring crates if needed, animals can sleep in our bed or owners can bring their doggie beds. We have a large backyard, but it is not fenced in, we currently have one lead we use for doggies, and owners can also bring their own. Feeding time will stay to what the dogs are use to and owners should leave instructions for care/routines for me so even though they’re in a new space, they have some consistency with their schedules!

For boarding at our house, the dog much be okay with children over the age of 6, we have a 6 year old who loves dogs and we are looking for doggies that will love him as well! Let me know ahead of time if your dog needs certain medications, has certain behaviors, pulls hard when he’s walking (mostly only concerned if it’s a very large dog). If the dog does/does not like certain things (such as belly rubs). Are they or are they not allowed on furniture and of course, where there treats are kept. ?
A typical day
I love to walk/run on trails with dogs. I love playing fetch, or just running around a field and being goofy. After that, a treat for the both of us, and some belly rubs and snuggles for the dogs!

Pet care experience
I know that every pet has their own needs and own personalities. I have been working with high energy dogs, older dogs, small dogs for years now. Remaining flexible with each individual animals needs. Friends have called me when they will be away for long weekends, I’m very flexible and am here to make sure your dogs, cats and any other pets are taken care of so you can enjoy your vacations, long weekends, nights out, whatever it may be.

Always a joy having Amber watch our kitties!
Amber is very attentive and reliable! Such a lovely person. I felt at ease being away from my 3 kitties as I knew they were in good hands. My shy, feral kitty Poppy warmed up to Amber right away - I have never seen Poppy do that before. Amazing!
Amber did an amazing job watching our dogs Charlie and Ocho for the week we were gone! We are returning clients of hers and highly recommend her for any of your pet sitting needs. She is highly dependable, trustworthy, and provides excellent communication. Thanks again Amber!!
Amber was consistent in her timing for the drop in visits for our cat. He seemed well taken care of and happy when we returned home.
