Walk, play, feed, cuddle, repeat!
NOTE: I work weekdays throughout the school year. Still available, but pets will be at home without me on weekdays for about 7 hours. I have owned and cared for dogs for over 25 years. I have cared for small dogs <25 pounds all the way up to large sized Great Danes > 200 pounds. I have been fostering dogs for Safe Paws Iowa for the past 3 years. I am available for a large portion of the summer because I only coach softball outside of the school year. I am very active and would love to share that energy with dogs! Walking, jogging, or just playing in the doggy pool is no issue at all. I currently have two dogs of my own. They can play all together or be kept separated! I also have experience giving dogs meds as some of the dogs in my care have different long term conditions. Can’t wait to meet your precious pups! Our pup loved her stay and had lots of play time with her new friends. We received lots of pictures and videos showing the good time she had.
Amber did a great job watching our puppy. We had plenty of updates and our dog really seemed to have really enjoyed her time with her. We would definitely recommend her in the future!

Schedule
I am mostly free over the summer and weekends. I run errands or make plans outside of when I’m taking care of pets. Pet care is my priority while hosting!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced in yard, my own dogs to join in play if wanted, I have gates/doors and a finished lower level where I can separate dogs if need be, and have multiple kennels. I allow my dogs on furniture, but can follow owner house rules.
Pets
A typical day
We love to go on longer walks (minimum a mile if it’s nice out) to get out some energy. The dogs love to run in my backyard, play with a multitude of toys, play in the doggy pool, and do lick activities like kongs or frozen lick bowls.
