I run my own established pet-care business, providing professional dog walking and pet sitting services to local clients. Alongside running my business, I have gained experience across a range of animal-care and veterinary settings. My previous experience includes working as an Animal Care Assistant (ACA), caring for animals and supporting their day-to-day welfare, as well as working as a Veterinary Receptionist in both routine and emergency veterinary practices. These roles have given me experience with animals in a variety of situations, including those who may be nervous, unwell or require additional patience and care. I have also volunteered with the Scottish SPCA, where I gained hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs. This included supporting animals with different personalities and needs and helping to provide a safe, comfortable environment while they were in the charity’s care. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Biosciences, giving me a strong academic understanding of animal health, welfare, behaviour and biology. Through my own pet-care business, I regularly care for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages and temperaments, including walking multiple dogs safely and providing individualised care. I understand how important it is to owners that their pets are treated with the same care, attention and affection they would receive at home.
