Safety, trust & environment

We welcome all breeds, races/ ethnicities, all religions (and those who are not religious), all sexual orientations, all gender identities, all family structures, all ages, all languages, and all disabilities. All who enter our home are welcome, valued, and respected. We will discuss feedings and treat times. All the loves are available for your pet during their time with us. We enjoy walks on the Greenway which is near our home. Bathroom breaks will be done on a leash in the partially fenced backyard with adult supervision. Currently I'm only taking pets from the same home during a boarding. I don't have pets of my own. What this means is your pet will have all the attention during their stay. This is very uncommon in the industry because sitters lose money when clients only have one pet they need boarded. From my experience, it distresses a lot of pets being socialized with new pets/environment/ and people all at the same time. If you're appreciative of your sitter and the quality of care your pet is given consider tipping when you fill out the review after the sitting. Rover takes their fee from the booking cost but tips 100% go to the sitter.

Information Amber H. would like to know about your pet

Policies: 1) If your dog gets separation anxiety and potentially destructive when left alone for short periods of time, please let me know they need to be in a crate. I have one large crate for guests if needed. Please be honest about destructive behaviors. Pet sitters don't make enough to replace furniture. Rover doesn't cover any damages to our homes. The owner will be responsible for any damages and asked to pay in cash when picking up their pet(s). 2) If your pet is in heat you must book a drop in. I don't take pets in heat. 3) Your pet must be flea free. If I find fleas on your pet during a boarding in my house you will be charged a $75 flea fee for loss of work, cleaning fee, and flea treatments while in my care. I will also report this to Rover. 4) 1 week cancellation policy. You won't be charged a fee for cancelling a booking unless it's 1 week prior to the booking. It's really difficult to book another pet with short notice. 5) Your pet must get along with children (12 years old). If unsure or you know they don't this isn't a good match. Again, Rover doesn't cover any personal injuries to myself or anyone in my household. You will be responsible for any serious injuries to myself or people in my household that requires medical intervention. ❤️TRIBUTE TO MY ROVER PETS WHO HAVE PASSED OVER THE RAINBOW BRIDGE❤️ ❤️ MINNIE 2023❤️ ❤️WALTER 2023❤️ ❤️THEY MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN MY PETS BUT I LOVED THEM LIKE THEY WERE❤️

Pet care experience

I do maintain Star Sitter Status, however Rover removed the icon from my account because a client bit my son under no fault of his own. They refused to reinstate the icon until 7/2026. ALL BREEDS WELCOME HERE (UNDER 100LBS)! I have a 13 year old son who wants to help care for your dogs and cats. We have 5 years professional pet sitting experience. We have volunteered at the humane society walking dogs. I have 20 years experience with being a pet parent of two beloved dachshunds. They passed over the rainbow bridge and we're not ready to be pet owners again but miss having a dog at home. We'd love to give your special pet all the loves whenever you can't. If you were happy with your service, please consider tipping 20% (industry standard) in cash. I pay more than 40% of the booking amount in fees and taxes (you pay 11% to Rover and I pay an additional 20% on each booking). Items I have in my home for use during boarding: two large crates, one small crate, two large dog beds, miscellaneous bowls / measuring cup (you must supply food), miscellaneous toys, one litter box (you must supply litter), miscellaneous treats, and one large retractable leash (you must supply a collar or harness). I would say I specialize in senior/ special needs dog care. I'm a licensed medical professional by trade and certified CPR instructor so, giving care for special needs pets is quite familiar to me. I can do injections, topical, oral meds, change wound dressings, and familiar with the use of wraps/ pads for dogs with incontinence issues. Frankly, I just vibe with the senior dogs too.

She was very kind and has good communication. The moment there was an inconvenience with my payment for an extended stay she acted belligerently. While handing my cat back to me she threw him at me and stormed back off into the house and refused to speak to me about his experience at her residence. Wouldn’t recommend her.

Amber was amazing and sent pictures the whole time! This was my first time ever using this app or have my babies in a strangers hands in general. She definitely made me feel like I didn’t have to worry and that made me feel safe being gone! Thank you so much for everything you did for my fur babies!

Amber was great! Our dog was kept in her home, picked up, and dropped off from our home. This convenience gave us peace of mind knowing he was not alone for long periods of time. Amber is an amazing personality and I immediately felt comfortable with her. Thank you so much, Amber!
