Hi, I’m Billie (they/them)! Boarding includes trips to Kelly Point Park, enrichment activities at home, and trick training. I especially enjoy working with bright, energetic pups — the herding mixes, problem-solvers, and trick-learners who thrive when their brains and bodies are engaged. I’m drawn to dogs who need a little extra patience and understanding, whether that’s anxiety around strangers, leash reactivity, or resource guarding, and I take pride in helping them feel safe and confident on walks.

Schedule
I’m available for recurring walks and drop-ins between 9:30a - 8p. I prefer clients in the Piedmont, Kenton, or Arbor Lodge neighborhoods and can work with flexible timing throughout the day. I also take dogs on off-leash trips to Kelly Point Park and Thousand Acres!

I use only positive reinforcement and force-free methods — rewarding desired behaviors through praise, treats, and play rather than relying on punishment or aversive tools. I do not walk dogs on prong collars, electronic stimulation collars (e-collars), or shock collars. I’m attentive to canine body language and skilled in leash management, always prioritizing the safety of your pet and others around us. Building trust is central to my approach: I take time to understand each dog’s comfort level, work at their pace, and provide a calm, structured environment that helps them feel secure and confident.
A typical day
A walk or drop in with me is more than exercise — it’s enrichment. Depending on your dog’s needs, that might mean a brisk walk with structured training games, a slower sniff-filled stroll, or practicing cues you’ve already been working on at home. I focus on making each walk enjoyable, safe, and mentally engaging, while adapting to your dog’s energy and personality.

- To make sure I’m the right fit, I ask that pups I work with already have some basic training foundations. I’m not the best match for dogs who consistently pull on leash or have frequent accidents in the home, but I’m a great partner for families who want their smart, sensitive, or energetic dogs cared for with patience, structure, and a positive training approach.
