Animal Carer & Former Zookeeper!
Hi, I’m Amber! I’ve had a love for animals for as long as I can remember and have grown up with pets throughout my life, giving me plenty of hands-on experience caring for animals of all ages and personalities. My passion for animal welfare led me to study Animal Care at college, where I gained practical knowledge in animal health, behaviour, nutrition, and husbandry. After completing my qualification, I volunteered at a zoo before going on to work there as a zookeeper for a year. During this time, I cared for a wide variety of animals, developing a strong understanding of their individual needs, routines, and wellbeing while working to the highest standards of animal care. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping to their usual routine, I’ll make sure they receive the care, attention, and affection they deserve while you’re away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I’ll treat them with the same love and care as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members!

Amber took wonderful care of our cat while we were away. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. Our usually shy cat warmed to her surprisingly quickly, and we came home to a happy, relaxed pet. We recommend!!
Amber was fantastic with our dog from start to finish. She kept us updated with photos and messages, and it was clear our dog felt comfortable and happy in her care. Knowing her background in animal care gave us complete peace of mind. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again!

Schedule
I currently work part-time as a waitress and bartender on a zero-hours contract, which gives me a great deal of flexibility. I usually work in the evenings, meaning I’m available for daytime visits, walks, and pet care. My work schedule is planned in advance, so I’ll always be able to let you know my availability ahead of time and ensure your pet receives the care and attention they need.

I’m available for both boarding in my own home and house sitting in your home, ensuring your pet can stay comfortable in whichever environment suits them best. My work rota is planned in advance, so I’ll always let you know my availability ahead of time and make sure your pet receives the care, attention, and companionship they deserve.
