Active & Caring Dog Lover
~ Cochrane Humane Society Volunteer dog walker ~ Owner of one Italian Greyhound dog - well socialized & fun-loving, he can be a couch potato or as active as needed during the day for walks ~ Comfortable administrating medication ~ I have experience in taking care senior dogs, and have a gate at the base of my stairs if they ate unable to do stairs. ~ experience with long term stays up to 3 months Your dog will have lots of attention, care, dog walks and adventures during our time together, whether it is a day-trip, an overnighter or a long term stay. I always ensure the owners get lots of updates throughout their dog's visit and am happy to keep them as active or inactive as the dog needs. Typically walking an average of 5 kms/day, however if the dog needs less active, I am happy to accomadate! I am home full-time so your best friend won't be alone for extended periods. I would love to hear from you and to learn more about your dog(s)! Send me a message with any questions or to coordinate a meet & greet at your convenience. Meet and Greets are done in Riversong, Cochrane. **Drop-off and pick-up hours can be arranged between 630am - 930pm. For times outside of these hours, please select a drop-off the night before or pick-up the day after. Augie and Pepsi had a fun time at Ambers. She took them to dog parks which was a great experience they don’t normally get. Also, Amber gave them multiple walks each day which they really liked. We enjoyed all the great pics and videos that we received. We would not hesitate to to use Ambers service again.
Another fantastic stay for our dog, Sadie, at Amber’s. Amber has become our go to for caring for Sadie when we are away and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Sadie is so excited the minute we pull up at Amber’s house. We are kept updated through great communication that includes photos and videos every day of Sadie’s stay. Thanks to Amber for providing such wonderful care so that we can be worry free when away.
Our boy Otis, came home happy, tired and well cared for. Amber is a heaven sent and now I feel confident that our fur baby has a safe loving place to go when we cant travel with him.
Chester loved his day with Amber! You can tell she genuinely cares and has great communication.
Keyda came back happy and Amber always gives feedback and pictures.
Amber was very reliable and gave my pup a very loving place to stay when I was away. I had no worries or concerns and she communicated updates daily. Will absolutely try to use her services again in the future.

I am home full time to care for your fur friend. Living in Riversong with a fenced yard. Lots of walks available to suit your dogs activity level.

I do require meet and greets in advance of accepting new dogs to ensure a positive experience is had by all. Please note that I am only accepting house trained dogs. M&G is done in Riversong, Cochrane.

A typical day
My neighbourhood (Riversong in Cochrane) is surrounded by lots of great walking trails, easy access to the 3 local dog parks (if you prefer), which allows us to get out frequently and for as long as we need. Dogs can enjoy the comfort of my home and medium sized fenced yard for frequent breaks. If your dog is comfortable on car rides, Alberta is our playground! I love going on adventures with dogs and exploring new trails in Cochrane, Calgary, Bragg Creek and Canmore! I always keep the dogs on-leash, carry lots of water and bear-spray to keep us safe on our adventures. Depending on your dogs activity level & preference, we can do lots of exploring & walking or keep it more low-key and around the local neighbourhood. If your dog frequents the dog parks and is used to being off-leash and playing at the fenced-in dog park here in Cochrane, I am happy to take him/her there. Dante and I frequent the local dog parks as he loves to run & socialize, but if this is not something you are comfortable with, we will avoid during your dog's stay. I have plenty of toys here at home, but feel free to bring your dogs favorite toy or ball to make them feel more comfortable and relaxed during your absence.

Is your dog fully house trained? Does he/she prefer to sleep in a crate, in a dog bed or in the human's bed? How does your dog do in the car? Does he/she need to be in a crate during car rides? Does your dog look have any special conditions that I should be aware of? What is your dogs preferred activity level?
