I work part time and I often am off weekends, so when I’m marked available for pet sitting you can be assured that I will be home 90% of the time if not 100% of the time. I do not pet sit if I am working that day or the following day; so the animals have my full attention.

In my home, animals are allowed to be in a crate if it is what the owner wishes for their own comfort but I prefer that they are allowed to follow me from room to room to explore. I sleep downstairs with animals so that they feel safe. Happy to provide specific nutrition and medication (not injections). I am happy to have 2 dogs or 2 cats from the same household, but I do not mix animals from different households. Cats would be kept indoors at all times. Dogs are encouraged to play in my enclosed garden under my supervision, in addition to going on lovely walks. Happy to take dogs in my car to local beaches and parks for walking.

Any specific needs, preferances or allergies should be discussed ahead of time. I’m happy to do meetings before walks, daycare or sleepovers so that the owners know their cats and doggies are coming to a safe place where they will be treated like royalty. :)
A typical day
We would go on adventures to the local beaches and parks. Play fetch at home in the house and in the garden! I have a wet room perfect for bathing doggies with mucky paws. I spend all day and night with the dogs so they feel totally comfortable in my home and their owners can relax knowing their fur babies are being taken of (if not spoiled!)

Dog walking is my happy place. With an enclosed garden, detached house and a safe car- I’m very excited to be on Rover to further my dog & cat sitting experience. I’ve grown up being a dog owner, from puppies to senior rescues with additional needs. I’ve also had a few cats so I’m very comfortable when I’m around animals. In addition to providing extensive care, I enjoy taking the time to continue and maintain training. From puppies & kittens to more senior pets, I am delighted to care for them all. I understand some animals can feel anxious in an unfamiliar environment- for that reason I sleep downstairs in the living room with the animals to provide a bit of additional comfort and support during the night. Happy to provide as many photos & videos as the owner would like for their own peace of mind.

Amber is absolutely fantastic with my Ozzy! He’s 6 years old, a lurcher and a bit of anxious boy who doesn’t trust too easily however Amber took the time to get to know him and now I’m so comfortable with Amber taking him overnight! I always get updates (and cute photos of my fur son) and Ozzy is absolutely over the moon when going to Ambers!
Amber has always been friendly and approachable when looking after and walking my dog. She understands how important our dog is to us and made the time to get to know him, answering any questions we had with patience to build the trust between our two families. Our dog loves spending time with Amber and gets so excited to see her which says everything for us. Amber is reliable, communicative and clearly loves this job. Amber is the most loving and caring human about. She often looks after and walks my 5 year old Rottweiler called Bear. She handles him perfectly and has such a good understanding of his nature, and of course he absolutely loves her. She the perfect caregiver for any pet!
Amber is incredible with my dog whom I have had her walk many times and even a couple of overnights which has been a massive help to me as I have chronic health issues. She’s incredibly reliable, gets on well with my dog and has developed quite a bond with her. Shes also a very warm and personable character. Very happy to have and continue to use her as my dog sitter.
