Information Amber D. would like to know about your pet

It's good to be aware of your dog's response to any specific commands, as well as if they're reactive to certain animals or sounds. It's also good to know if they have specific spots they don't like to be pet. I would appreciate being made aware of their usual daily schedule and how flexible that may be.

A typical day

I'd happily take your dog out for a walk multiple times per day. If there's a park or trail near by we could utilize that. I love to play or cuddle up and nap with them.

Pet care experience

I grew up in a house full of pets. And have had at least one pet of my own all of adulthood. I have helped to raise kittens from birth, and find them homes when ready. I also have experience caring for a special needs kitten. I've now been professionally pet-sitting for over two years; and before that I dog-sat for neighbors and friends. I even helped make my last place of employment pet-friendly.

Amber was a no show for us on our second booking even though we had finalized everything and been in communication the day before she was scheduled. Both I and the Rover customer service rep reached out to Amber when she didn’t show and received no response. I waited a few days in case something happened to give her the opportunity to respond or explain but have heard nothing back. We are extremely disappointed because we thought we had found a reliable and professional caretaker based on our first experience. Even though Rover refunded our money for the booking, we are out the money we spent for our evening plans.

Amber took great care of Archer while we were gone for 12 days! Our house looked exactly as we left it when we returned and Archer appeared well loved. We would absolutely use Amber again in the future!

While Amber took good care of our dog, she struggled to communicate during the day time going 8 hours without communication when we were trying to reach her, she also wasn’t able to put our dog’s harness on so our dog went 8 hours without going outside the first day. Amber was nice, and she left our place clean. We feel Amber is probably a perfect cat caretaker, but wouldn’t book again to take care of our dog because of the communication struggles.
