Information Amber C. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if there are any special accommodations that need to be made for your pet: if they're taking medication, feeding schedule, where they're used to sleeping, or anything else I need to look out for etc. I'm happy to provide consistency with what they're used to at home. Such as, are they aggressive with food/toys/territory? Have they been known to bite or chew on furniture (or anything that isn't toys or treats?) The more info I know about your pet, the better I'll be able to treat them in the way they're used to.

A typical day

In the morning, we have a potty break and eat breakfast. I have them run around in the yard and chase balls for about 10 minutes max, since it gets hot. They come in for treats and likely take a nap. Around lunch, they go outside again and either play in the backyard, we go to the dog park, or take walks here or at the nature trail. At night they're fed again, with a little play time and another potty break with some time to relax before bedtime. I'm happy to alter this schedule a bit, to better fit your dog's schedule while they're here.

Pet care experience

I started volunteering in animal shelters when I was 17. I was a vet tech and worked at an animal hospital for 5 years. For the last 10 years, I have worked with BHAM Boston Terrier Rescue, AL Boston Terrier Rescue, and now Huntsville Animal Services, fostering Bostons and other breeds of dogs. So, thank you for considering me! I'd be happy to be your pet's home away from home, and I'd take care of them as if they were my own. And believe me, I love my dogs. I do have 2 dogs (Bostons) but they are couch potatoes who also like to play sometimes, and would love to have new couch & play buddies. *Unfortunately at this time, I'm not able to accommodate large dogs / over 40~ lb*

Amber was flexible with pickup and drop off times and provided daily updates. This was the first time we used Rover and Amber made us feel comfortable.

Amber is great with Kingston. He seems to come back home more well behaved and very happy. I always hate leaving him, so having a reliable and trustworthy person to watch him gives me comfort to focus on my reason for traveling. I highly recommend her.

We had a spend the night party with Amber, Matt, and their two Bostons to be sure the fit is right for our upcoming 8 day trip. Our Bostons did very well. The male loved being surrounded with beautiful females and our female missed her Mama but ate and accepted treats. We think she will warm up over more than one night. Now we can relax about the care of our “puppies” thanks to my daughter in law for suggesting you. Barbara Barnett
