Being new to Richmond - I look forward to pet sitting as a chance to get to know the city. Also dog friends and their humans have always made the best friends. Have very flexible availability. I always stay overnight for housesitting requests.

Our pets get the highest quality food and homemade treats because we love them like family. Our elder dog has a special diet and vitamins for his old hips. We have a strong relationship with our animals - we travel with a camper in the summer and all our animals come with us. Our friends rely on us often to take care of the pets and plants when they travel.

We have an elder dog at home, who has hip trouble, I understand each dog has its own needs. Please be sure to let me know if your dog has any special needs or behavior issues that may be tricky. I’ve helped many high energy dog owners overcome challenging behaviors after just a few walks getting to know the individual do and their needs.
A typical day
I’ve been training dogs for years - I love to teach dogs the basic tricks. I love to explore neighborhoods with my new animals friends and guarentee 30 minute walks for drop ins and 2 of those per day for overnights.

I understand the needs of animals and their relationship to humans. Love spending time with them, feeding, walking, playing. Very reliable and trustworthy pet caretaker. Have done animal sitting abroad, in Costa Rica and Mexico. Have done small animal care (rabbits, Guinea pigs, birds), as well as cats, dogs, and even reptiles. Your pets will love my homemade treats.

Amber was a fantastic dog and house sitter while we were away for 8 days! Both of our dogs have a few peculiarities that she was able to navigate, our home was very clean when we got home, and the dogs were very well loved! She communicated well and was reliable throughout the entire booking/sitting process.
Amber has taken care of our dogs and cat several times. We are always very happy with how attentive and communicative she is during the stay. We would definitely recommend her to others!
Amber is the best and has basically become part of our family. She is far and away our first go to when we are out of town and has been able to accommodate everything we need. She treats our animals like family and is on top of everything. She treats our house well. There’s no feeling like having someone you don’t have to worry about and feeling completely comfortable about your animals while you’re away. Amber is the best!
