Pet care experience

Home FT. Spoiler of small dogs

I have been a small dog owner for 27 years and come from a family full of dogs ranging from all ages and sizes. I work from home and am able to provide companionship and play/potty breaks throughout the day and evening. I have a quiet home with no children or pets currently, ideal for nervous little dogs. I have a small fenced back yard with a potty strip and access to a large common grassy area within my community, as well as nearby parks for walks.

Thank you so much for watching Penny while we were in Salt Lake! I can tell she had a great time and I felt so confident leaving her with someone I trusted.

Amber did an amazing job with our senior dog. After meeting her I immediately knew I had made the right choice in leaving our dog with her. She is so kind and attentive and I knew he was in the best care while we were away.

Schedule

I work remotely from home, it is a perfect place for old or lazy dogs who like to nap to the sound of keyboards and take play and potty breaks throughout the day. Walking in the park in the evening is an activity that I enjoy with dogs that are up for it.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a very small fenced in back yard with a potty strip and a big community grass area for leashed breaks if your dog needs more room. Most of my time with dogs is spent in the house relaxing. I have cared for my own puppies, seniors, sick dogs, happy dogs and nervous dogs. I prefer to crate dogs when possible if I am leaving the house for any errands or short periods of time away. My dog passed in 2024 and miss the companionship and love dogs bring. The most stressful thing for me when I had dogs was leaving them and knowing they were safe and loved. While I heal, I hope I can bring a safe and loving vacation home and provide that piece of mind to others.

A typical day

A typical day here is spent with the dogs napping or having play time around the house during the day while I am working. In the evening I am happy to stay in with dogs that are older or do not have the abilities/desire to run around. I also love evening walks with dogs that are younger and have the energy.

My preference would be to care for smaller dogs that love to be pampered. I have cared for sick and older dogs and have experience with oral medications. Drop off time/pick up time must be after 11am on weekdays
