I’ve taken care of both dogs and cats for the better part of my life. I grew up with both and still cannot decide which is better as I love them equally. My favorite part about pet sitting is getting to know all their different, spunky personalities and tailoring to all their energy demands. I love the outdoors and being around animals, I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t! I am a very active individual and in my free time I go on hikes and mini adventures. If your fur babies love adventures too I’d love to bring them with. I graduated from the University of Guelph with a bachelors in Animal Science and am a recent masters graduate from the University of Queensland in Wildlife Biology. To say the least… I love animals and aim to care for their well-being and health. I have been taking care of a lot of fur babies by word of mouth on my own for over two years - lots of them shown in the photos of my profile! During this time, I taught a doggo to swim and have tended to many geriatric and young pets. For instance, my uncle left me his elderly dog with arthritis and I have seen her become a young puppy again with a lot of swimming and glucosamine! I have also assisted in socializing a dog, Bentley, with a diagnoses of extreme anxiety and have become his favorite person and still sit for him on occasion when his parents are away (the little guy with the pumpkin shirt in the photos if you spot him!). My priority is their safety, respecting your training regimen and any of your dog’s or cat’s needs. If they require any medication or special assistance, I have worked in a veterinary clinic, Ambassador Animal Hospital, for a year and am very comfortable accommodating to these.
