Flexible, reliable, and I ❤️ dogs!
I grew up with doberman pinchers, my last dog was a cockapoo, and I've cared for every sized dog in between. I believe lots of exercise, praise, pets, and treats make happy dogs. I'm experienced in medication administration and I have a fully fenced yard.

Amanda is always so great with our pup! She sends is lots of pictures and I'm always confident that my pup is safe and comfortable with Amanda and her family!
We cannot offer enough thanks and appreciation for the care our 2 Cairn Terriers received from Amanda and family for a 3 week boarding stay. We received daily photos and updates. Amanda was kind, generous and very attentive to the nuances and personalities of both of our dogs. We highly recommend Amanda and will no doubt have her board our dogs again in the near future.

Amanda was great. She was helpful in sending regular pictures of Pablo, and it was clear he was having a good time. She's thoughtful and meticulous, and she made careful note of Pablo's needs, and I found that very comforting.
My dog had another wonderful stay with Amanda over Labor Day weekend. I love the pictures Amanda sent of him during his stay and her descriptions of how he was doing. We look forward to his next stay with Amanda because he has so much fun there.

Schedule
I work out of the house from 9am to 12pm weekdays (at UNM- Los Alamos) so I'm home to be able to play, go for walks, and be flexible to accommodate the needs of your dog during most of the day. Whether your dog is high energy or laid back, they'll be content in my care.

Safety, trust & environment
I do not currently have any pets but I have lots of squirrels, chipmunks, and birds to chase in my yard. I live in a great area for walks, and if they are the adventurous kind, we can even venture into the canyon! I have two kids who are usually in school from 8am to 2:30pm. They are 4 and 9 years old and will play with any willing dog. My kids can read dog body language and are cautious with any dog they aren't familiar with. I also have business insurance for in-home pet care, just in case!
Pets
A typical day
I get up at around 6am and will take your dog outside and give food at this time. Walks are typically at 5pm with potty breaks and play time inside or in the yard throughout the day. If your dog is accustomed to more/less exercise, I will adjust according to their needs. Food and treats are given per your instructions. Cuddles and pets are given on demand :)

- Let me know if your dog is reactive to anything, their likes and dislikes and any food sensitivities. If they have any bad habits (no judgement!) let me know and I'll be prepared. Any medical issues, including anxiety, should be discussed at the meet and greet.
