I am currently a veterinary technician student through Penn Foster while also working part-time and raising my beautiful 2-year-old daughter. My passion for animals has guided both my personal and professional life, and I strive to lead by example by teaching my daughter the importance of love, compassion, patience, and responsibility when caring for animals. In addition to my studies, I bring 3 years of veterinary technician experience, 4 years of professional dog grooming experience, and 3 years of experience running my own pet care and nail trim business. As a devoted pet owner to two dogs of my own, I understand that pets are family, and I am committed to providing every animal with safe, attentive, and compassionate care.

When caring for pets in your home, my first priority is building trust and creating a safe, comfortable environment for each animal. Every pet has a different personality and comfort level, so I take the time to learn what makes them feel secure and at ease. This may include plenty of treats, playtime, slow introductions, or even hand feeding when needed to help establish a positive bond and build trust between your pet and myself. My goal is to ensure every pet feels loved, comfortable, and cared for while providing patient, compassionate, and individualized attention.

Important things I need to know ahead of time are behavior issues, any special needs I need to be aware such as diabetic, seizures etc.. any medications I need to give or administer. Any food or leash aggression I need to be aware of.
A typical day
I believe pet care should be more than just supervision — it should be engaging, loving, and enriching for every animal. I love spending quality time playing games with the pets I have the privilege of caring for, while also helping reinforce positive behaviors and even teaching new tricks along the way. Whether your pet enjoys active playtime, mental stimulation, or simply relaxing with cuddles and affection, I make it a priority to provide personalized care that keeps them happy, comfortable, and loved. Building genuine connections with animals is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do, and I truly cherish the trust and companionship they give in return.

My dog is very scared of being groomed but Amanda made it seem easy! Shes very sweet and treats my dog like her own. Winny and I would highly recommend using Amanda. :)
I have known Amanda for a long time, and she has always been the biggest animal lover that i know. She has dogsat both of my dogs and they love her. She has over 5 years of experience as a dog groomer, and a vet tech. I trust her to take care of my dogs and show them the love and care they deserve.
Amanda has groomed my dog who has behavior issues for a couple years! She’s has taken things slow to earn his trust and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my boy!
