I have provided pet sitting services for many friends and family. This has ranged from small dogs (pugs, frenchies), larger breeds (poodles), and cats. I pay close attention to the individual needs of the pets and am comfortable in adapting my care and focus to what is most important for the pet and client. I am comfortable handling large dogs on leash and enforcing training regimens according to the owners' instructions.

We were so thrilled to be able to go away on vacation and ‘try’ not to worry about leaving Haven - our Standard Poodle rescue with separation anxiety - for a week with Amanda. Haven bonded with Amanda from their first meeting. We were sure Haven would not walk further than ten feet with Amanda, if at all! With patients and many treats! Amanda was able to get Haven walking around our neighbourhood, within a couple of days. Amanda kept us up to date with pictures and texts on how Haven was doing which made us able to enjoy our vacation with much less stress. Thank you Amanda!
Amanda did a great job looking after our two (40 lb) dogs while we were away. It was clear at the meet-n-greet that she is experienced with (and loves!) dogs as she knew how to approach our more skiddish dog, and the more assertive one. Amanda provided regular check-ins with me to let me know how they were doing and sent photos and videos knowing how much we missed them! Those with dogs know how incredibly important it is to trust that your dogs - your family - are well taken care of in your absence, and Amanda delivered! A huge thank you to Amanda - you’re going to make traveling a possibility now!
Amanda beams with joy, excitement, and of course immense experience with animals - on top of that my dog (3 y/o pug mix) absolutely adores her. She has housesat for me several times over the past three years and I trust her completely. She is incredibly competent and skilled when it comes to understanding what my dog needs, how to make him comfortable, and the best way to interact with the owner (i.e., sending pictures and videos to make me feel comfortable when I am away). Amanda is very patient and understanding, and upholds the rules and training you have in place for your dog. I can leave knowing my dog and my place will be safe and sound. Your pet couldn’t be in better hands!
Amanda has taken care of my cat Maya (who's now 10) several times over the past couple of years, and I fully trust her. Maya is always relaxed and happy when I get back — and I appreciate the photo updates Amanda sends while I’m away. Maya’s a cuddly cat but can get a little feisty when playing, and Amanda has always handled that with care and patience. It’s clear Maya feels safe and comfortable with her, given all the naps she takes on Amanda’s lap during visits! I definitely recommend Amanda as a reliable and loving pet caregiver.
Whenever I go away, I trust Amanda to look after my cat. My cat is fairly high maintenance when it comes to feeding time. Before I switched to dry food, she needed her wetfood re-scooped into the middle of the plate every five minutes in order to finish it all! Amanda always stayed and make sure her food was perfectly scooped, so Hex could have every bite. I trust Amanda with my cat and my home. She's reliable, kind, and calm.
Amanda is amazing. I have two high energy standard poodles. One dog is a little shy and sometimes reacts to people/dogs. She was very patient and able to make him feel very comfortable with her. The other dog gets so happy and excited to see her. He knows he's going to have a great time. They're not easy to walk, so it's nice to find someone I know can handle walking them. She is the only person I'd trust to take care of my dogs and I'm happy to know that my dogs are safe and loved with her. Whenever she watches my dogs, I know that I'm coming home to some happy boys and a clean house.

Schedule
I am currently working part-time days but I can work around your needs to make sure your pet has the appropriate care and attention. I am amenable to early mornings, late nights, or anything in between. I am happy to work with you to find a schedule that works for your pet needs.
