My name is Amanda and I have cared for all manner of animals over the past 30+ years - domestics, exotics, livestock and wildlife. I’m new to working on the Rover platform but certainly not new to caring for pets! I have worked in dog and cat grooming, veterinary, ranching/horse boarding, a wildlife hospital, in home sitting and I owned a dog daycare/boarding kennel. There isn’t a species out there I won’t work with. I am pet CPR and first aid certified, insured and bonded and hold a Bs in Wildlife Science from Oregon State University. I can provide drop in visits, walks and overnights - unusual pets and special needs welcome. I have experience caring for even paralyzed dogs, expressing bladders and such. Medications, injections, fussy feeding habits - I’ve been there! Contact me to set up your FREE meet and greet to see if I’m right for your family.

Safety, trust & environment
I ask that clients provide a lockbox for easy and secure entry. This way, there is no juggling keys and no key under the mat! Cameras are just fine by me but I would like to at least know they’re there, kind of an ethics thing. I’ll make sure to leave your home just as before or better - any animal mess will be swiftly cleaned up and dishes will be washed/filled.

I’ve used Amanda several times to care for my two labs, and she’s been wonderful every time. She’s incredibly responsive, reliable, and clearly loves what she does—our dogs absolutely adore her. It’s such a comfort knowing they are in great hands when I'm away.

Amanda was wonderful with my two Labs! She was prompt, professional, and kept me updated with plenty of pictures and messages throughout her visits. My dogs absolutely loved her—lots of wagging tails, frisbee time, and happy faces in every photo. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands. Highly recommend!
Once again I can’t recommend Amanda enough! She goes above and beyond and makes sure our pets always feel loved while we’re away. She even made friends with our demon cat lol! HIGHLY recommend her!

Look no further, Amanda is the best! She took such good care of our pups and went the extra mile in caring for our naughty chickens. She provided us with updates daily and put our minds at ease while we were out of town. She is a part of the pack now.

I work part time one day a week (Wednesdays) up in Trinidad. Otherwise my availability is open including weekends. Please speak with me regarding any longer trips as this can most likely be worked out.

- It is critical that I have a clear idea about your dogs' temperament, likes and dislikes and any other idiosyncrasies for the safety of both of us and so I know how to approach and interact with them. Obviously I need to know about any kind of medications or special care as well.
