Pet care isn’t something I “fit in”—it is my routine. I’ve intentionally built my days around caring for dogs because it’s something I truly love. Your pup will get consistent attention throughout the day, including walks, playtime, and lots of affection. I’m home often, so they won’t be left alone for long periods and will always have someone focused on their comfort and care.

My husband and I live in a clean, safe, and pet-friendly apartment with plenty of space for your dog to feel comfortable and relaxed. We have a 15 lb Schnauzer/Maltese mix named Louie, so our home is already set up with dogs in mind. We’re on the third floor, but there is elevator access if needed, and we have great amenities for dogs—including nearby walking trails, a fenced dog park on the property, and even a dog wash station for convenience. In our home, your dog will be treated like part of the family, with lots of attention, playtime, and cuddles, while also respecting their usual routines and comfort levels. When caring for pets in your home, I’m very respectful of your space and will treat it with care and professionalism. I take the time to understand your dog’s routine, preferences, and any specific commands or training you use, so they experience as much consistency as possible. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I aim to create a calm, safe, and positive experience for your pet while you’re away.

Information Amanda & Trevor S. would like to know about your pet
To make sure I provide the best possible care, I like to learn as much as I can about your pet ahead of time. Every dog is different, and understanding their needs helps me keep them safe, comfortable, and happy. Some helpful things to know include: - Feeding schedule and any dietary restrictions or allergies - Daily routine (walks, bathroom schedule, sleep habits) - Personality and temperament (energy level, anxiety, triggers, etc.) - How they interact with other dogs and people - Any medical needs, medications, or special care requirements - Commands they know or are currently learning I also appreciate knowing what your dog loves most—whether that’s a favorite toy, activity, or just extra cuddles—so I can make their time away from you as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. I take a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to pet care, so you can feel confident your dog is not just being watched—but truly understood and well cared for.
A typical day
I tailor activities to each dog’s personality and energy level—so whether your pup is playful, curious, or more of a cuddle-on-the-couch type, they’ll feel right at home. We’ll enjoy daily walks on nearby trails, playtime (fetch, tug, or their favorite games), and safe social time if they enjoy other dogs. For more relaxed pups, I’m always happy to slow things down with gentle strolls and lots of snuggles. I also like to include a bit of light mental stimulation, like basic commands or interactive play, to keep them engaged and happy. Most importantly, your dog will get plenty of attention, affection, and one-on-one time throughout the day. I’m also happy to send photo updates so you can see all the fun your pup is having.

Pet care experience
Dogs have been part of my life since I was 10 years old—and caring for them has never felt like a job, it’s just who I am. Growing up, we loved our family dog so well that people used to joke they wanted to come back as our dog one day. My very first job at 12 was caring for a neighbor’s dog twice a day, and I’ve been the go-to sitter for friends and family ever since. I’m often told dogs naturally gravitate toward me—and honestly, I adore them right back (maybe a little more than people…haha). What truly sets me apart is my experience across all life stages: - Puppy support: I’m patient, consistent, and happy to reinforce basic training, routines, and positive behaviors. - Senior & special care: My first dog, Gunnar, was diagnosed with kidney disease as a puppy and given 7 years to live—he made it to 14.5. As he aged, he became deaf and blind, and I learned how to adapt, communicate, and care for him with compassion and attentiveness. - Emotional awareness: I’m very tuned in to dogs’ behavior and comfort levels, especially those who are anxious, shy, or extra attached to their humans. Today, I have a 7-year-old Schnauzer/Maltese cross named Louie, who is well-socialized, gentle, and up to date on all vaccinations. My home is calm, safe, and full of love—your dog will be treated like part of the family. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or overnight care, you can expect: - A warm, welcoming environment - Plenty of attention, activity, and cuddles - Reliable communication and genuine care It would truly be an honor to be someone you trust with your dog. I will care for them the same way I care for my own—with patience, love, and attention to what makes them feel safe and happy.
Reviews
I can’t recommend Mandy enough as a pet sitter. She took care of my cats, Knuckles and Sleeves, whenever I was away, and I always felt completely at ease knowing they were in her care. She is reliable, attentive, and genuinely loves animals, which shows in how comfortable and happy they were with her. Mandy always made sure they were well fed, their space was clean, and she took the time to give them attention and affection, not just the basics. I really appreciated the updates she provided, which gave me peace of mind while I was gone. Anyone would be lucky to have Mandy looking after their pets. She is trustworthy, kind, and goes above and beyond.
Amanda has been a pet owner and animal lover for as long as I’ve known her. She has cared for my dog many times, including overnight stays, and always treated her like her own. Amanda made sure she got plenty of walks, new places to explore (and things to smell), and lots of attention. I always felt completely comfortable leaving my pup with her and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker or pet sitter.
