Pet care experience

Worry free pet care 🐾

Hi there! I’m Amanda, a lifelong Alaskan and animal lover turned pet care professional. I wear many hats around here, from puppy photography and client communication to playtime coordinator and snuggle provider. My pet care journey began back in 2006 at a small family-owned pet store, where I got my first pup, Duke Longfellow, the Italian Greyhound. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of animals with different needs. Friends and family lovingly call me the dog whisperer. After struggling to find quality care for my own pets with unique needs, I created a home based environment that prioritizes trust, safety, and individualized attention. I’m pet CPR and first-aid certified and continually pursue education to stay on top of best practices. Please note: As of August 1, 2024, priority will go to dogs weighing 30 lbs or less.

Amanda sent pictures and updates, and my whole pack was happy and healthy after their stay. I think they had a great time and I felt that they were in good hands. ◡̈

Amazing sitter! Great communication! I was making this booking for my mother in law and Amanda was very understanding about the situation and very patient. I’d definitely book again if ever needed!

Amanda was wonderful. She had our two miniature doxies for 10 days. They went there happy and came home happy. We had regular contact. Worked out great. Am glad to have found Amanda. Will definitely use again.

Schedule

Pet care isn’t just part of my life, it is my life. This is my full-time business, not a side hustle or hobby. My days are built around the pets I care for, with weekday availability and weekend boarding offered in a calm, structured home environment. Your dog’s routine becomes part of mine, with plenty of play, cuddles, and consistency.

Safety, trust & environment

Guests enjoy a clean, calm home with cozy blankets, plush beds, and sunny spots for max nap vibes. We have a securely fenced yard for zoomies, plus trails nearby for scenic sniffari strolls. If your pup’s the adventure type, we’re ready. If they’re more of a couch potato, we’ve got snacks and snuggles covered. I stick to a small service area for drop-ins and walks so I can be on time, every time, and build real relationships with the pets (and people) I serve. Boarding guests wear GPS trackers, you’ll get photo updates, and I carry private insurance for extra peace of mind. Let’s be real: your dog’s going to love it here. You’ve been warned.

Pets

A typical day

We start the day early with breakfast and a good ol’ potty parade. If the weather’s cooperating, we’re outside, playing, sniffing, and strolling the nearby trails. If it’s cold or soggy, we bring the fun indoors with play sessions, puzzles, and cozy hangouts. No matter the weather, every guest gets a healthy dose of activity and tail-wagging fun. Mental and physical enrichment? Daily. Boredom? Not on our watch.

Got a pup with quirks? We love a good personality! Be sure to include any special needs, behavioral notes, medications, and how your dog does with other pets and kids in my required intake form. We’ll send the link after our initial chat. Vaccination records must be uploaded at that time—Rabies and DA2PP are required. Bordetella and Canine Influenza are highly encouraged for added protection. ✨ Puppy parents, ask how to unlock a major discount on our puppy rates!✨
