I'd be following any given instructions for the dogs home and would keep them in the routine. Comfortable happyband loved. Your dog would also have a playmate with mine if friendly for park dates so they wouldn't be inside all day long.

Schedule
I currently have a very flexible schedule as inonly work part time. I am gone every other weekend tho. I'd be able to accommodate almost any schedule.
