Will love your dog like my own

Like most on here I’m just a huge dog lover. I lost my own sweet pup early August 2025, so when possible I try to fill that void. My sweet boy was a rescue and a true hellion of a rescue at that (but also the cutest angel obviously). Because of him specifically, I am super hyper aware of runners, flight risks, reactivity, etc. Those traits can be stressful and overwhelming, but I always meet that with patience and understanding. Leaving your animal even to go to work can be tough for some folks and those animals- I would love to make it easy for yall. I have experience with high energy dogs all the way to senior dogs who can only walk one block max.

Safety, trust & environment

You and your pups preferences are what’s most important. Everyone parents a little different. You tell me what the routine is, likes/dislikes, triggers, obsessions, fave snacks, and we’ll go from there. In my personal experience using dog sitters, safety and comfort of the dog is priority. I don’t do dog parks at all. I trust you know your dog, and believe you when you say they love the dog park; however, I don’t trust other dogs and their owners. For everyone’s safety, we’ll avoid the dog park.

Schedule

I work a hybrid job (nonprofit social work) but am home more often than not and if I am in the office it’s only for a few hours. With that, I have free time throughout the day because the schedule is so flexible.

Cats
0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
Dogs over 1 year old
Amanda can host up to 1 drop-in per day
For safety reasons I want to know any triggers your dog has, along with any behavior concerns. Reactive in a hyper way or aggressive way? Do they eat everything off the ground? Are they a runner if off leash? If your dog is trained with any particular cues or words that is always helpful as well!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
