From terrier temperaments to retriever antics; high prey drive; strong willed; or gentle elder care; I have the knowledge to care and work with your dog or livestock. I was owner/handler/breeder/trainer of my past show dogs as well as lifelong experience with horses and numerous farm animals. Think of me as not only your pets caretaker, but also playmate and personal assistant. I’m knowledgeable from bottle feeding puppies to special needs. If I pet sit for you, I ensure your dog is walked and played with to release energy or just sitting with as a companion. When house sitting, I do not leave your pet alone all day. This is discussed/determined with each individual owner and pet needs. Please note that the following are additional fees: Constant care; Extensive plant-lawn care/ house cleaning/laundry - errands and bathing/grooming may incur additional fees to be discussed dependent upon size of job. I showed AKC conformation from 1994-2014; managed a 50-dog kennel in the 90s; and also have 13 years as a legal secretary as well as a BFA in art history . In my youth, I showed horses and French lop rabbits. I showed, trained and bred top winning American Stafforshire Terriers and Chesapeake bay retrievers. I did 22 AKC champions.

I care for any pet in accordance to the guardians exact wishes. I’m experienced to know when an animal is unhappy, ill, needs to potty/rest/bored-play. My world revolves around making animals happy content

Amanda was with our two dogs during a severe storm, power outage and downed trees. She cared for scared dogs and dealt with damage to the house all with a storm raging and no electricity! Without her care, we would definitely have suffered severe damage and the dogs were calmed and well cared for the entire time. We were able to finish our week away without having to return home. Her quick response to house damage as well as preparing the dogs turned a horrible situation into something that we could deal with from afar due to her flexibility. Our dogs slept peacefully in bed with her the remainder of our absence.
Amanda is outstanding in every way! Her love of animals is so sincere, and she took wonderful care of our two dogs and our home. Excellent communication and attention to detail - we had absolutely no concerns while we were away. We will definitely ask Amanda to help us again - she truly is a gem!
We have a very difficult dog to deal with as he is aged and mostly deaf. He is also suffers from separation anxiety. Amanda dealt with him beautifully and made him feel comfortable after a short period of time. The pictures she sent made us know that he was happy and comfortable and her communication was excellent. She takes the time to get to know your critter and work with idiocrasies.
Amanda was incredible! She gave great updates and sent photos throughout her stay even though it was just one night. Her communication is 10 out of 10. Went above and beyond for caring for my pets and my home while she was in it. I would absolutely recommend Amanda and will be utilizing her services again in the future myself.
Amanda is phenomenal and our pups love her! We are so grateful for the constant communication and for the security and sense of peace she provides.
We have a 13 YO mostly deaf boy (Luke) with separation anxiety. Luke was very anxious on our meet and greet with a lot of barking so we felt it would be helpful to have one night away before our longer trip to make sure both Amanda and Luke were comfortable with each other. Amanda’s stay with Luke was simple and flawless. He even rolled on his walks which was a sign of his comfort level with her. Amanda is very quick to respond and shared a lot of information and photos about their day. I know he will be in good hands when our longer trip comes around.
