Welcome to your dog's safe, happy, and fun-filled home away from home. I have loved and cared for my own pets for decades, and have spent the past 5 years caring for others' furry family members. I'm an experienced dog walker and trainer, and am comfortable walking dogs of all sizes. I have 3 years of experience training dogs and puppies, including working with reactive and fearful pups. Regardless of your dog's particular quirks, they are welcome here! I am an experienced foster, dog walker, and trainer for the local humane society. I am confident managing dogs with behavioral issues, including reading body language, and keeping dogs separate from other animals if they require that. I am comfortable giving medication, both orally and via injections, and I will give patient and loving care to your sick or senior dogs who need a little extra love. I am happy to keep up with any training while you're away (be it puppy training, potty training, obedience work, or leash manners.)

Amanda takes care of our ... "challenging" child, a purebred Chow Chow named Kuma. She took time with him as we advised and gave him space while he came around to being without his pack. She sent us pictures of him enjoying her yard and she finally got to the point where he allowed her to love and pet him! She didn't force him to accept love and she is savvy with challenging animals because of her extensive background with rescue dogs and cats. I trusted her to know these things since we both foster rescue animals! She has worked with different issues - both medical and behavioural - and treats them all with love, gentleness, and compassion. I would trust her with any of my rescue children and that is saying a LOT! Not only does she treat them well, she sends photos to communicate with us, which is so appreciated. 5 stars for Miss Amanda, says Kuma!
Amanda R. is an amazing, loving and attentive pet caregiver. She sincerely cares for our dog whenever we bring her. We affectionately say that our dog is at her "vacay pet home" as she gets to play with other pets, take consistent walks and have fun away from home. We never worry about our dog's care when she is with Amanda. When you start, you will keep bringing your pet(s) to have a wonderful time with Amanda and a break for yourself! Amanda is an outstanding pet sitter. One of the hardest things to find nowadays is someone that is reliable and Amanda is exactly that! She always is prompt and there to take care of my pets at the time she agrees to. She has helped care for all of my animals and all the pets love her! It has been a relief knowing that I have a reliable sitter to care for my pets like I do. 10/10 highly recommend! :)
I met Amanda through volunteering with the Humane Society over a year ago. I’ve seen first hand the love and care she pours into each foster dog she has cared for as well as all of the dogs in our care. This led us to having her care for our 2 pups when we needed a sitter. I was completely at ease knowing they would be safe, loved, walked and well taken care of while we were away. Amanda is an excellent Petsitter and will take great care of your animals.
10/10 would recommend to sit for my dog or cat. She is great with pups to geriatric. Loves them like her own. Very happy home!

Schedule
I treat all my dog guests like part of the family, and your dogs are welcome to join the pack while they are here, any day of the week! I work full-time, but always come home for an hour at lunchtime to care for and tend to the dogs. Everyone gets a walk and yard time before I head to work, and plenty of playtime and attention when I get home. Dogs are never left for more than 4 hours.

What your dog can expect: 🐕🦺Leash walks! Your dog will enjoy at least one solid walk every day (either on his own, or joining my two dogs for a pack walk). 🦴🥎 Secure Playtime! Your dog will love romping and playing in my fenced backyard, lounging under the trees, and splashing in the doggy pool. All playtimes are well-supervised, to ensure everyone is well-mannered and safe. 💤 Quiet private space: There are two doggy guest suites set up in my home, complete with their own bed, crate, food & water dishes. This ensures that your dog can relax during naptimes, meal-times, and bedtimes, without any other pups bothering them. 🏠 Part of the family When your dogs are here, they're part of the pack, and I'll care for them just like my own dogs. This means equal access to couches, dog beds, belly rubs, and frisbees. Depending on your dog's needs, they may join my dogs in the house and yard, or they may get their own solo couch time & play time, if they prefer not to be around other dogs. Whatever makes them feel at home, that's what we'll provide.

A typical day
Your dog can expect plenty of playtime in the yard, neighborhood walks, chill time on the couch, and games to keep them mentally and physically fulfilled. And of course belly rubs and ear scratches.
