Pet care experience

Rescue, puppy, & senior friendly!

I’ve been working in the pet care industry for 5 years, with hands on experience in doggy daycare, training, animal shelters, and some vet assisting. I currently work at Coco’s Cupboard and spend most of my time around dogs with all kinds of personalities, energy levels, and quirks. I’m especially comfortable with dogs who may need a little extra patience or understanding, including nervous or behavioral pups. I also frequently foster both puppies and senior dogs, so I’m used to adapting to different needs, routines, and temperaments. I have two dogs of my own with their own unique personalities, so I know how important it is to find someone who truly understands your pet. Caring for animals has always been more than just a job for me. It’s something I genuinely love. Whether your dog enjoys playtime and adventure or prefers a calm, laid back day with lots of cuddles, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, happy, and at home while you’re away.

Amanda was great with our 2 dogs. Played inside and outside with them. Sent lots of great pics and keeping us updated on how they were doing, eating and sleeping. Will be using her again in the future for sure.

Amanda is great! She is a great communicator, both during the stay and leading up to the stay. She left the house in immaculate condition and sent photos or our pup every day. We will definitely be booking her in the future!

Amanda has kept Max for us twice now. We get her to house sit because Max is spoiled and she helps us keep him this way. She plays with him and he loves her. She is responsible and we will use her again.

Schedule

Pet sitting is my side gig, and since I work locally, I’m usually pretty available throughout the week. My schedule is flexible, so I can easily work around any obstacles that pop up. Even when I’m working, I get good breaks and have a supportive employer who understands my pet sitting commitments—making it easy to balance both!

Safety, trust & environment

I am a huge rule follower, and I am very extremely detail oriented, I will make sure to keep the owner updated as much as they would like for their comfort and for the safety of their pet. I am very comfortable approaching new animals and do well with gaining their trust. I will also provide photos and open communication by request of the owner. I do need 1 hour in the morning and 1 in the evening to check in on my own pets, but I like to call that “quiet time” for the furry friends I am watching!

Pets

A typical day

I love exploring hiking trails whenever I can! But if your dog prefers something calmer, no worries—a simple stroll or some cozy cuddle time works perfectly. I also enjoy training sessions, playing fetch, enrichment activities, and going on car rides. Most importantly, I want every dog to feel safe, happy, and excited to see me again!

I’d love to hear about any special needs your dog might have—like allergies, medications, or anything important to keep in mind. It’s also helpful to know if your dog has any reactivity or behavioral concerns (food guarding, sensitivity to fast movements, certain areas they don’t like touched, or any aggression toward animals or people). No judgment here—I want to make sure I can provide the safest and most comfortable care possible!
