As someone who has had dogs her entire life, you can trust me to take care of your pet! I began helping my parents with training our dogs by age 7, and so it wasn't a surprise that my own dog's rescue organization told me I was the most prepared applicant they've ever seen! I am happy to give your pet all the love and care they deserve, and make them happy and content while you are away. My dog Bailey and I love going on walks around the neighborhood and to the dog park, and we would be happy to take yours with us! My partner Dianne works from home daily, and I go into the office for just two days a week, so you can be assured that your pup will bever be lonely! Once the day is over, Dianne and I head out on a walk with our dog, and we would be happy to take your pup out with us! Bailey, Dianne, and I live in an apartment. We spend a lot of time walking around the neighborhood or on trips to the dog park. Bailey is the friendliest dog in the world, and would LOVE to keep your fur baby company. If your dog needs the comfort of a crate, I have one available for your pup to use. Your pet will be given plenty of love and attention here!

This is my third time using Amanda as a dog sitter for my beloved pooch, and I have to say, I know my dog is in great hands with Amanda. She picked my dog up from another sitter when I was out of town, and then when I ran into flight delays she saved the day. She’s a great communicator and most importantly I can tell she cares for all the animals she sits for. Thank you, Amanda!
I’m so happy to have found Amanda on Rover! She scheduled a meet-and-greet to make sure our dogs got along, and to make sure our dog would feel comfortable in her space. Not only did our dog feel comfortable, but she came back happy, healthy, well-walked, and with new friends (and we got photos and updates along the way!). We will definitely contact Amanda if we need boarding again!
Having Amanda as a sitter gave me such tremendous peace of mind, knowing that Murphy was being taken care of as one of her own! She sent amazing pictures and gave fun updates that helped make the time away from my dog that much easier to deal with. 🩷

Schedule
I work from home three days a week while Dianne works from home 4 days, so we extremely flexible in being able to take your dog out for a potty break as needed!

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet will be very well taken care of in our home! We live in an apartment, and our patio is a favorite spot for dogs to relax in the sun and protect the neighborhood! We have crates available if your dog needs one, and plenty of toys for them to play with (from plush to bones to tug toys). Bailey will be so excited to make your dog at home, and she's always excited for a new playmate!

A typical day
If the weather permits, Bailey and I take a walk in the morning while Dianne takes them out around lunch. We all go out for an evening walk after work and love letting the dogs off leash at a dog park or walking around Shirlington Village. Our favorite dog parks is Shirlington, so close by! Sometimes we'll take a walk through the arboretum or Roosevelt island, and would love your pup to join us!
