Pet care experience

Hi! I’m Amanda, and dogs are a big part of everyday life in our home. I have several dogs of my own, so I’m very familiar with different personalities, energy levels, routines, and the importance of making sure each dog receives the individual attention they need. I keep my boarding numbers limited because I want every dog staying with me to feel comfortable and cared for—not like they’re just one of many. My partner works from home, so someone is usually here throughout the day, and dogs are rarely left alone for long periods. We also have a fully fenced yard where dogs can enjoy supervised potty breaks, playtime, sniffing, and time outside throughout the day. I also have a wooded area behind my house for hiking adventures! A typical stay may include walks, outdoor time, enrichment, play, rest breaks, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I’m happy to adjust the routine based on your dog’s normal schedule, personality, energy level, and comfort. Safety is always a priority in our home. I take introductions slowly, closely supervise interactions, and can keep boarding dogs separate from my personal dogs when needed. I understand that not every dog is immediately comfortable in a new place, so they’ll be given the time and space they need to settle in. I also have experience with dog training and enjoy providing dogs with structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement during their stay. Feel free to message me about your dog’s training needs and the individualized options that may be available! I know leaving your dog with someone new can be stressful. My goal is to give you peace of mind while making sure your dog receives thoughtful, personalized care and is treated like one of our own.

Amanda and I have known each other for about 8 to 9 years. She is extremely experienced with all kinds of animals, from reptiles to birds, to horses and of course dogs. I have personally witnessed that Amanda is an amazing handler and adores dogs of all breeds. I think she would be an exquisite candidate for Rover.

Amanda is a fantastic pet parent! Despite not having children of her own with the way she speaks about her Australian Shephard, Loki, and her rescue, Twitch, you would swear that she was a busy and bustling mother of two. She has numerous subscriptions to brands that allow her to coddle and shower her pups in gifts/treats galore. She has even gone as far as setting up a subscription for my maltese, as well. I would trust her with my own life, not to mention my pup's life. She is warm and real, making her presence comfortable to be around and easy to trust - her actions prove that your first impressjon is that of someone who you can trust with your best bud.
