I provide pet services before and after my normal 9-5 job and on the weekends. Typically I can do weekday morning visits between 6-7 am and evening visits between 6-9 pm. On weekends, I typically will do morning or mid day visits to your cats, but let’s chat about their schedule!

I strive to treat all animals gently and with respect, as some pets are shy or strongly prefer their owner. I let the animal lead our interactions, so if they want to play or be pet, I’ll do so. Some cats think everyone is their friend! If they want to hide, or if they want to hang out but like some distance, I respect their space. I have also worked with some cats who dislike strangers or are very frightened by them. If that’s the case, let’s chat and discuss the best plan of action. I may recommend that I do more of a drive-by service where I do not stay for any longer than is needed for food, water, and litter.

I like to know about their food, litter set up for cats, and basic personality. Are they shy, are they playful, should I try to pet them, etc. If they are shy, it’s helpful to know if they will hide since I may not be able to get a photo for you. For the owners, I also like to know how to pick up/drop off the keys.
A typical day
With cats, I usually do food and water immediately, medicine if required, and then play with or pet the cat. I do litter last thing and then send the Rover card.

Thanks for looking at my profile! My name is Amanda and I am a responsible and conscientious person who will take great care of your cats while you are away! I grew up in a house with cats and I currently have three of my own. I let cats lead our interactions, meaning that if your cat doesn’t like strangers, don’t worry! I won’t pester them. I try to make the experience of cat sitting as low stress as possible for your pet. I don’t surprise them, respect their space, and let them approach me. The same goes for cats who are real people persons: I’m happy to play with toys or pet them for 30 minutes straight if that’s what they need! If your pet needs oral medication or eye drops, I can provide that. I have administered an inhaler as well. I do not have experience doing injectable medication on pets, but I have helped a family member with insulin, so hypothetically I could be open to that. If this applies to you, let’s chat and see if I am a good fit, or if you should look for a veterinary assistant or vet tech who does pet sitting. No matter what, I will follow your care instructions to a T and send lots of photos with my Rover Card.
