Availability
I am currently working per diem, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for pet care. I am also in a season of exploring my passions and focusing on work that feels meaningful to me. Pet care is something I truly enjoy, and I love building trust with every animal I meet.

About Amanda P.
Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets in clients’ homes by following their normal routines as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, litter care, playtime, and any medications. I adjust to each pet’s personality and needs, whether they’re social or need space. I also keep the home clean, secure, and provide updates so pet parents feel at ease.
Information Amanda P. would like to know about your pet
What does your pet’s daily routine look like (feeding, walks, potty, etc.)? How would you describe your pet’s personality and energy level? Does your pet have any medical conditions, allergies, or take any medications? Are there any behaviors or triggers I should be aware of (other animals, strangers, sounds, leash behavior, etc.)? What helps your pet feel most comfortable and happy while you’re away?
A typical day
A typical day includes a calm, attentive routine focused on your pet’s needs. For dog walks, we’ll walk to the nearest park for exercise, sniffing, and enrichment at a pace that suits their energy level. I make sure each walk is safe, enjoyable, and tailored to your dog, followed by time to settle, hydrate, and relax.

Pet care experience
Animals have always been a major part of my life, and my experience caring for them goes beyond just basic pet sitting. I have volunteered at animal shelters, where I gained hands-on experience walking and handling dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. This has taught me how to read body language, build trust quickly, and make every walk safe and enjoyable for each dog’s individual needs. I also have personal experience as a foster parent to cats. I successfully helped one of my fosters find her forever home, and I proudly became a “foster fail” with another who I couldn’t imagine letting go. I currently care for a blind cat, which has deepened my understanding of patience, consistency, and creating a safe, predictable environment for special-needs pets. In the past, I also cared for a cat with feline leukemia who was incredibly special to me, and I made sure he was always comfortable, loved, and supported. My background has given me a strong sense of compassion, responsibility, and intuition when it comes to animals. I treat every pet like my own, and I understand how important it is for pet parents to feel complete peace of mind while they’re away.
