I love cats and cats love me!
I grew up with cats and cared for them as they grew elderly, which makes me very understanding of the potential challenges of cat care- administering medicine, cleaning up bathroom accidents and hairballs, necessary grooming, etc. Additionally, in recent years I have lived with roommates with cats which require many different levels of care and attention. Often while my roommates are gone, I joyfully take over the necessary feeding schedule, litter box schedule, and give the cat the cuddles, pets, and playtime they deserve! I am a cat person through-and-through and am in the process of adopting my own kitten! As a graduate student, I spend a lot of time reading and writing without much time for extended travel or running around, meaning when I am caring for your cat I am able to easily spend the required time with them, from drop-ins to longer stays keeping your furry friend company.

Safety, trust & environment
In a client’s home, I care for animals by inspecting their environment for any accidents that might have happened, or any hazards that need to be removed. I clean the litter box every day or two, depending on what’s needed.

Amanda was kind enough to pet sit for me recently while I was gone for a week for work in Texas. She did a fantastic job, made sure my mind was at ease, and took great care of my cat. Not only did she give Nokk food and water as instructed, she also spent time playing with her and giving her treats (after getting permission) so that she wouldn't feel alone while we were gone. She sent pictures and videos as well to show that our cat was doing okay. She is kind and thoughtful and I would absolutely trust her to take care of Nokk again!
Amanda is a super easy-going, and practical person that I love having around my cat, Socks! Socks can be a tricky cat and not always everyone else's cup of tea, but Amanda and Socks get along swimmingly! I really appreciate how much Amanda respects my cats needs and overall really caters her affection and care specifically to Socks. Amanda has also been reliable in taking care of my cat and her needs if I am away! Overall, I would highly recommend Amanda as a loving, attentive caregiver!
Amanda lived with us when we got our cats back in fall of 2024. Immediately she loved being around them, snuggling and playing with them. Aside from that she took good care of them when we went away for a weekend or two. Yes, cats can be pretty easy but I knew she was making sure they had water, food and giving them some good pets when they asked.

Schedule
As an English Graduate Student, much of my time is spent at home reading and writing. This makes pet care fit easily into my routine, as I am usually in Fort Collins with the time for drop-ins, or I am willing to stick around a house for a while since I always have something to be reading!
