I have been around dogs ever since I can remember, with having two family dogs since I was born. I've been pet sitting off and on since high school, and I’ve worked with a variety of cats and dogs. I have experience with dog walking, cat & dog home visits, overnight stays & boarding, feeding care, and of course lots of playtime. I've cared for 8 different dogs of all kinds of breeds and sizes, ranging from a corgi & chihuahua to a newfoundland & pitbull. I've also worked with dogs of all ages, ranging from puppies under 1 to senior dogs over 10. From my own pets, to those I’ve cared for, and to any furry friends I come into contact with - dogs are a big part of my life and bring me so much joy!

I have an older skittish cat and a new kitten and was apprehensive about leaving them for 6 days to go out of town. Amanda was so great with them, though! They were very well taken care of and having Amanda tell me how they were doing and sending me pics of them at each drop in visit allowed me to enjoy my time away without worry. I highly recommend Amanda and will be booking with her for all of my other upcoming trips!

I'm currently on a career break after working the past few years, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets! I'm available anytime during the week & weekend (mornings & afternoons - nighttime if requested) for dog walking, cat sitting, daily home visits, day care, etc. I'm available on the weekends for house sitting & overnight care and able to stay with your pet full-time at your home while you're away. My schedule is pretty flexible, so I can make a lot work!

Safety, trust & environment
Keeping your furry friend safe & protected is my number one priority, and I want to ensure this by collecting as much information from you about your care needs & requests as well as doing my best to make your pet feel at home & in their routine. I always make sure to monitor behavior where I can to gauge their response to my care and am never too pushy or overbearing to make sure they feel safe & at ease. I think keeping them on a routine & schedule brings a lot of success in maintaining a familiar environment & earning trust. The same goes for care in my own home, with my home having a fence for their protection, friendly dog & cat neighbors, and great spots for walking & outdoor time!
A typical day
I love to do activities with the pets I watch, and can adjust the type of activities based on what your pets enjoy! I can do enrichment activities for physical and mental stimulation like play games, time with their toys, take extra time on a walk so they can get all the news smells outside, play fetch as much as they like, and more! I have great walking spots around my house with two parks near by with fun trails and green space.
