Dog-Obsessed Teacher Ready to Help!
I have had my own dogs since my early 20’s, and I’d probably have about ten more if I could. Everyone in our family has dogs, ranging from tiny Yorkipoos to big ol’ lab mixes, and I love them all! I currently have one rescue pup, Russell, who is 19 different breeds! I am patient, I don’t get grossed out easily, and I will love your pup like it’s a member of the family.

Amanda, Matthew and her daughter Matilda took great car of Sir. They are very relaxed and made me feel welcome and comfortable in their home and Sir was allowed to just be comfortable and be himself. They even helped us out by bringing Sir out to my son’s wedding (it is their dog) and letting him get some photos with the couple and take him back to their home. Went above and beyond!! Highly recommend!
Amanda did a great job taking care of our senior dog. Our dog was very well cared for and got lots of love. We will definitely use Amanda again on the future!

Amanda loves her pets so much. She has watched my dogs many times and they are happy and well cared for and are always so excited to see her. Amanda and her daughter Matilda LOVE all animals but especially dogs and cats and we have years of experience watching our pets loving them. My wife and I are obsessed with our Yorkipoos and they are the only ones we feel totally worry free leaving them in their care. When we bring them to their home or they visit us they immediately go to them rather than us. Very knowledgeable about pet care, and need for attention. Highly recommend them to everyone!!
Amazing dog sitting experience! She is thoughtful, generous, and great with animals. The house is very pet-friendly and welcoming. My dog Charlie is always happy to spend time there!

Schedule
My husband and I are both teachers, so we are home full-time during the summer with our two teenage kids. During the school year we work, but I’m usually home by 3:30. Our 13-year old daughter is interested in pursuing a career working with animals, so she will be assisting in the care of your pet.

We have a large fenced yard and a dog-friendly house. We even have a doggie door for pups to come and go outside to the back yard as they need or want to. We have one 5-year old dog who gets along great with other pups. Usually when we dog sit, we have the visiting pup have a home base in our daughter’s room where they can be fed separately, have peace and quiet, and enjoy the best air conditioning in the house! We are a dogs on furniture house, and she even loves to let the dogs we are sitting sleep in her bed with her if they want. Your dog should expect many pets and snuggles at our house! If we are coming to your house, we will follow whatever routines and rules you’ve established for your pet. But still expect lots of love for your pet!

A typical day
Our back yard is securely fenced in, and we live on a quiet cul-de-sac off of Old Buckingham Road in Midlothian. We don’t treat our yard with any pesticides, and we ensure that the plants out back are safe for children and pets. Our days start out quiet. We let the pups out and feed them breakfast. Then it’s time for a morning walk around our neighborhood. After we return we will laze about, maybe even take a nap. We can play fetch in our back yard or the pups can chase each other around until they wear each other out. The couch, dog beds, and human beds are all available when your pup is ready for a snooze! After dinner we can do another walk before evening couch cuddles and heading to bed for the night.
