My name is Amanda, I was born & raised in Arlington, VA. Primarily I provide housesitting & dog walking services for my nearby friends & neighbors. I am currently working from home in the Washington DC & Maryland metropolitan area. I have a fairly flexible schedule depending on the time of the year. I am attentive and responsible in caring for both dogs and cats. I enjoy traveling, lacrosse, hiking, running, and photography. I am comfortable with both elderly dogs and puppies, as well as cats (I grew up owning cats). At this time, I cannot offer any boarding at my own home, but I am available to housesit at your personal residence (overnight if needed). I prefer to work with families that are upfront with me about their pet’s demeanor, behavior, needs, and likes or dislikes. I can provide references upon request. Currently I am working from home. During a typical week, I coach lacrosse in the evenings, mainly in the Northern Virginia, DC, and Bethesda areas. I am able to provide visits or breaks for your pet every 2-8 hours depending on my schedule and time of year. Currently I do not offer boarding at my house, but I am happy to provide visits and care at your own home for your pets.

Amanda is an amazing and responsible sitter. She communicates every day and sends photos and took great care of my kitty. She went above and beyond and I am so grateful!!
Amanda looked after our pet tortoise this winter while we were away. She came by to do a meet-and-greet to understand our particular pet, species, and care needs and spent time studying his habits. While we were away, she was highly communicative, gave updates, and followed our updated care instructions. She also brought in the mail, which was nice, as I had asked USPS to suspend mail delivery but I guess they hadn't. She was also careful to make sure the door was locked after every visit. I'd definitely work with Amanda again!
Amanda provides detailed updates of her visits and she is very consistent in her timing visits for our cats. They seem very well loved by her! I'd definitely recommend Amanda for any pet sitting duties!
Amanda was terrific—communicative, flexible, and kind to our kitty. She went above and beyond and stopped by twice in advance of the actual cat care: once to meet the cat and again to pick up keys. Highly recommend!
Amanda did a great job taking care of my cat for a week, including giving him medicine. She is very communicative and was flexible when my plans changed last minute. Would book again!
