Information Amanda M. would like to know about your pet

Leash reactivity and whether or not he requires certain commands in situations. I work on these things with my own dog so am not averse to these situations, but knowing what you typically do will help me carry on your training. I have no breed preference.

A typical day

I really like finding new nature trails around campus and the botanical gardens. I also really enjoy playing mentally stimulating hide and go seek games with my dogs and would love to try it out with others!

Pet care experience

I volunteered at clinics in Gainesville and worked as a veterinary technician upon moving to Jacksonville. I have extensive experience with cats and dogs and exposure to most other small animals. I grew up in a household of 5 cats so am certainly not a stranger to feline friends outside of the clinic. I have also owned 3 guinea pigs so am very comfortable with small animals as well! I treat all the animals I encounter with compassion, but more importantly, respect. I contInually practice positive reinforcement training with my own dog and bring the same ideas into pet sitting. With me, your pets will not only be taken care of, but I’ll be sure they have tons of fun while you’re gone!

Amanda did a great job with Buddy! She was available for a last-minute booking for a mid-day walk/drop-in visit when I had to work a late shift and was a life-saver. She was great with Buddy and took him on a walk. He seemed to like her and we loved the photo and report she sent! We will definitely rebook!!
