I adore cats and have had them my entire life- currently I have two of my own. I've rescued and cared for many strays. As a former frequent traveler, I know how important it is to be assured that your cats are not just safe and fed, but have companionship while you're away. I'll always be sure to give your little furry friends playtime, treats, catnip, and cuddles....or personal space if that's how they roll. (Love dogs, but I have no experience with them. Therefore, I only offer care for cats.) I live in Belmont Heights, work from home, and have a flexible schedule to suit your cats' needs. I have a five-star rating on TrustedHousesitters at a sitter and host. :-)

Building trust with cats is very important. I am very responsive to each cat's disposition and level of comfort with me/strangers. I always allow them time to warm up to me, using treats if that's allowed within their diet.

This is the second time I asked Amanda to look after my kitties. So grateful to have found her, knowing they’re safe and happy to see her. She also takes amazing photos :)
My two kitties and I had an amazing experience with Amanda from start to finish. She was friendly and communicative. Even my very shy kitty came out while she was there, which cat parents all know is the ultimate seal of approval! The photo updates were amazing! And helped me relax knowing my babies were happy and cared for while I was out of town. I’m so grateful and would 100% book her again.
Amanda was so sweet and easy to work with. She kept us updated with daily photos and notes to let us know how they were doing. It truly gave us so much more ease over the vacation to know the cats were being well cared for. THANK YOU AMANDA! Will definitely book again.

Amanda loves animals and they love her right back! She adores my little furry friends and treats them as if they were part her own family. I can always trust that they will be well taken care of while I am away, without worrying that they will be sad, lonely, or hungry. She makes sure they are fed, watered, litter cleaned, and played with. I would definitely recommend her for anyone's petsitting needs!
I highly recommend Amanda as a cat sitter! She provided excellent communication throughout, was incredibly reliable, and most importantly, Maya absolutely adored her. Amanda even went the extra mile by bringing a special toy for Maya. I felt at ease knowing Maya was in such caring hands while I was away. Thank you, Amanda, for your wonderful service!

Schedule
I work from home (health policy/program consultant) in Belmont Heights with a flexible schedule, so I am available morning, afternoon, and evening to check-in on your fur babies.
- CatsAmanda can host up to 3 drop-ins per day
- Please let me know if your cat(s) have any special needs (medicine, allergies, foods) or a disposition that I should be aware of (no belly rubs, shy, aggression towards each other or people) so that I may offer them the best care possible.
