I like big mutts and I cannot lie
I love dogs. I love to walk. I'd love to walk your dog. I've worked professionally in the animal care industry for over 15 years. I challenge you to find someone more enthusiastic about scooping your dog's poop. Some of my work experience has been with Canine Companions for Independence, Mostly Monkeys Animal Sanctuary, and as a Zookeeper for many different facilities. I take pride in my work and in the safety and comfort of your pet. I live in the Rancho Bernardo area and would prefer clients that live in the surrounding areas. Currently I am available most days after 3:30pm. I can be somewhat more flexible on weekend days. I'm also available to pet sit cats and a wide variety of other animals-I specialize in hoof stock too! Goats, llama, donkey, horses…I got you covered. For pets that have additional needs, I am able to give oral and injectable medications.

Extreme attention to detail! Your pet will not be out of my sight on walks or when playing in the yard. I will always be in touch to let you know how things are going through photos and text.

Amanda has taken care of our pets on numerous occasions and she has proven to be an incredibly caring and trustworthy pet sitter. We just got back from a 10 day trip and our pets were happy, healthy and well loved. It’s clear they miss her a bit, too! I highly recommend her for all pets but especially those with special needs and requirements.
Amanda was great, she paid attention to details, did everything we asked and our dog, Willis, seemed to have a great time with her! She also sent update photos throughout the weekend which was great. It’s clear she cares for the animals she watches and enjoys spending time with them.

Amanda is a rockstar. Our pup had unexpected GI issues while we were away and Amanda kept us up to date on her health while tackling the fallout from the GI issues with kindness and compassion and still ensuring we came back to a clean home. We cannot thank her enough!

I work full-time as a Wildlife Care Specialist and pet sit part-time. I am available after 3:30pm most days and can do overnights at your residence.
