I work 100% from home, which means I am hands-on and fully present with the dogs throughout the day. My home runs on a "predictable fun" routine of structured play, mental enrichment, and calm rest that keeps everyone relaxed. Because I have a flexible remote schedule and a professional training background, I easily balance my day between dedicated client drop-in visits and managing a peaceful, supportive environment for our boarding guests. Boarding Requirements To maintain this balanced flow, boarding dogs must meet the following criteria: —Kennel Trained/Calm Separate Spaces - Because I step out for client drop-in visits and daily errands, dogs must be kennel-trained or fully capable of resting calmly in a designated, secure area on their own for an hour or two at a time. **Whenever he is available, my husband steps in to help out! If I am out on a client visit when he gets home, he will gladly let your pup out for potty breaks and companionship to ensure their crate time is kept to an absolute minimum.** Late Night Drop-In Policy: Late-Evening Booking Policy: Please note that my standard daytime drop-in hours run until 8:00 PM. Because Rover uses very broad evening time slots, any drop-in visits requested for 8:30 PM or later will incur an additional late-night premium of $10 per visit. I will manually adjust the modification price on the request before confirming the booking.

Safety, trust & environment
My services and home are designed entirely for safety and peace of mind. For boarding guests, I offer a large, securely fenced yard for play and a dedicated, gated indoor area for relaxation. While guests are welcome to roam the main living areas, I use professional management—like separate mealtimes and private rest periods—to ensure every dog stays happy and stress-free. Whether I am caring for your pet in my home or visiting yours for a drop-in, I bring a sharp professional eye to safety. I strictly adhere to your household routines, secure entryways, and ensure a calm, hazard-free environment so you can truly relax while you are away.

Information Amanda K. would like to know about your pet
Prior to our Meet and Greet, please be ready to share details about your pet’s typical behavior, medical history, exact feeding and medication routines, and any known triggers or fears so I can provide the absolute best care possible. To ensure a smooth, safe experience for everyone, I require a Meet and Greet before confirming any new bookings. This is a non-negotiable step to make sure our dogs get along and that your pet feels completely confident and comfortable with me in their space. My goal is to prevent any "hiccups" and ensure everyone is set up for success! Animals can be unpredictable when their owners aren’t around, and their needs can change from day to day—just like humans. Some days they might have lower energy and just want to rest. I practice force-free, choice-based care and will NEVER force an animal to participate in a walk or an activity if they aren't feeling up to it. Comfort, safety, and happiness come first. Sometimes an animal just needs a little extra space to feel safe, even if we played beautifully the day before, and I completely respect those boundaries.
A typical day
I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I focus on a balanced rhythm of activity, mental work, and structured rest. I prioritize quality over quantity—whether that’s a focused walk, a game of fetch, or a "sniffari" to burn off mental energy, I tailor the output to your dog's age and fitness level. My goal is to return a dog to you that is physically satisfied, mentally relaxed, and happy. Here is how that looks for both services: Drop-In Visits: — Every visit includes a thorough rinse and refresh of all water bowls. I strictly adhere to your exact feeding schedules. — Activities depend on our booked time and can include a fun walk, backyard fetch, or any physical activity your pup prefers. — To mix things up, I love bringing mental enrichment games with your permission (and a few extra treats). Believe it or not, these brain games can tire a pup out just as much as a long walk! Boarding Clients: — Mornings: A fresh potty break followed by a separated breakfast. For safety, I have all dogs rest immediately after eating to prevent stomach issues or bloat. Once breakfast has settled, we head out for a morning walk or backyard playtime. — Midday: The afternoon is dedicated to decompression. Dogs can choose to rest comfortably or enjoy indoor toy play. If they are up for it, this is when we dive into mental enrichment games. — Evening: Depending on their energy, we can go for another walk, play outside, or hang out on the couch. Dinner is a separated meal followed by another vital digestion rest period. Afterward, we wind down the day with one final potty break before a peaceful night in their kennel or designated sleeping area.

Reliable Pet Care & Enrichment
Pet care experience
I’ve worked with almost every breed and temperament imaginable—from high-drive scent hounds to gentle giant breeds. My background in veterinary offices and professional boarding facilities has given me a "clinical eye" for canine health and subtle behavioral changes that others might miss. Whether I am stopping by for a drop-in or hosting a guest for boarding, my goal is to provide a safe, highly professional environment where your dog feels as comfortable, engaged, and respected as one of my own. I focus heavily on structured routine and mental enrichment, ensuring your pet thrives while you are away.

Reviews

Amanda is so thoughtful and aware of all three of my dogs’ needs. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. 100% recommend!
Amanda communicates well and took excellent care of my cat.

Amanda did an outstanding job watching our cat Nova while on vacation. She provided regular updates about how she was doing and even though our cat is not social, still went out of her way to bond with her. Thank you Amanda!
Amanda was wonderful with our pups!! Added enrichment activities and gave all the care we could have asked for! We'll definitely seek her services again next time we need to be away.
