Loving home with lots of company.
I’ve been a dog lover and owner all my life and have grown up with dogs as part of the family. When I was younger, we had Spot, a Labrador/Collie who was with us for 15 wonderful years and was very much a mummy’s boy. After that, we had a Springer Spaniel Bella who we loved dearly for 12 years and sadly lost around 18 months ago due to arthritis. We also shared custody of a Dachshund called Eva with my husband’s ex-wife. Eva passed away in December at the age of 14 and a half having lived a long and very well loved life. All the dogs I’ve cared for have been treated like babies and looked after with love, patience and attention right through to the end of their lives.

Amanda and Jon are absolutely fantastic at looking after Dennis! 🐾 From the moment I leave him with them, I know he’s in safe, caring, and loving hands. They treat Dennis like one of their own, giving him plenty of attention, cuddles, walks, and all the care he needs. It’s such a relief knowing that Dennis is happy and well looked after whenever he stays with them. They’re reliable, kind, and genuinely love dogs, and it really shows in the way Dennis gets so excited to see them! I honestly couldn’t recommend Amanda and Jon highly enough. They’re wonderful, and Dennis absolutely loves them! ❤️🐶
Our two doggys had the best time with Amanda and John, they were happy, settled and playful during their stay and were given lots of cuddles, time and treats! They had lovely walks too! Happy doggys, delighted owners!! Can highly recommend and we have already booked their next stay! Thankyou so much for giving real 'home from home' care 💛 💗

Amanda and Jon were absolutely amazing. Sam was so well looked after during her stay, we had lots of updates and photos and we knew Sam was being cared for so well whilst we were away. I would thoroughly recommend 😊

My dog Lyra was really happy staying with Amanda and Jon. They were both very affectionate with her and I could tell that they loved dogs. I was pleased that they suggested having a “meet and greet” before booking so I could see how they were with Lyra. This also meant that when she went to have her trial day with them she trotted happily into their house and had zoomies in the garden! By the time she got to stay overnight she was super comfortable with them, rushing up to Amanda as soon as we got there. Amanda asked me about Lyra’s walking and feeding schedules, and anything else they needed to know to look after her. She also sent me photos of Lyra during her stay. I can’t recommend Amanda and Jon enough, and will definitely be booking again with them in the future.

Schedule
I work from home permanently, and my husband works one week in a local office and one week from home. This means there is always someone around, and every other week we are both at home around the clock. Even on office weeks, dogs are never left alone for long periods and always have company throughout the day.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fully fenced and very secure garden where dogs can safely enjoy time outside. Our home is calm and dog friendly, and dogs are welcome on the furniture and beds if that is what they are used to, although we fully respect owners’ preferences.
A typical day
Our days are centred around the dogs we care for. We enjoy playing with toys, spending time in the garden, and going for long walks in the many open spaces around where we live. Dogs also get plenty of downtime and cuddles!
