Loving home with lots of company.
I’ve been a dog lover and owner all my life and have grown up with dogs as part of the family. When I was younger, we had Spot, a Labrador/Collie who was with us for 15 wonderful years and was very much a mummy’s boy. After that, we had a Springer Spaniel Bella who we loved dearly for 12 years and sadly lost around 18 months ago due to arthritis. We also shared custody of a Dachshund called Eva with my husband’s ex-wife. Eva passed away in December at the age of 14 and a half having lived a long and very well loved life. All the dogs I’ve cared for have been treated like babies and looked after with love, patience and attention right through to the end of their lives.

I can’t recommend Amanda and John highly enough! From the moment we met, it was clear they genuinely care about the dogs in their care. They provided a safe, loving, and comfortable environment, and I had complete peace of mind knowing Ralphie was with them. Throughout the stay, communication was excellent, with regular updates and photos that showed how happy and well cared for he was. They paid attention to his individual needs and routine, making the experience stress-free for both of us. When we picked him up, he was relaxed, healthy, and clearly had a good time. It’s such a relief to find someone trustworthy, reliable, and passionate about animals - I would happily recommend Amanda and John to anyone looking for exceptional dog boarding.

This is the first time we have left the dogs with anyone apart from family, Was a little nervous but Amanda and John were very assuring. Picked up today after two days and the dogs were fine. We will definitely use again. Lovely couple.
I can’t thank Amanda and John enough for taking such wonderful care of my little girl Betsy. Betsy had a very tough start in life and Amanda and John were so patient, kind and understanding with her. From the meet and greet visit I knew Betsy would be in the best hands. Amanda kept me updated and reassured me with a daily message, photos and a video, this was much appreciated. They both gave Betsy a home away from home for the few days I was away and she was spoilt with care, attention and kindness. I will definitely be asking Amanda and John to care for Betsy again and I would highly recommend them. Such lovely people who clearly adore dogs and want the very best for them.
Amanda was absolutely fantastic and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. She is a very kind, warm and caring person who took excellent care of our two Jack Russells. Will definitely be using her services again. Nel and Daisy thoroughly enjoyed their stay!
Amanda took fantastic care of Murphy for two nights. Her communication was excellent, with regular updates that gave us real peace of mind. Murphy came back happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Amanda again, would highly recommend !!

Schedule
I work from home permanently, and my husband works one week in a local office and one week from home. This means there is always someone around, and every other week we are both at home around the clock. Even on office weeks, dogs are never left alone for long periods and always have company throughout the day.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fully fenced and very secure garden where dogs can safely enjoy time outside. Our home is calm and dog friendly, and dogs are welcome on the furniture and beds if that is what they are used to, although we fully respect owners’ preferences.
A typical day
Our days are centred around the dogs we care for. We enjoy playing with toys, spending time in the garden, and going for long walks in the many open spaces around where we live. Dogs also get plenty of downtime and cuddles!
