I am an animal behavior professional and have worked for years in animal husbandry. I previously worked as a veterinary assistant and am comfortable administering oral medications. I've also volunteered in rescue and rehabilitation since 2014 and have formal training in assessing stress in cats and dogs (my cat used to work as an outreach therapy animal, helping stressed university students and folks in long-term care facilities). I’m well practiced in wildlife and domestic photography, and always try to get some nice shots while I’m on a sit. I have a soft spot for crusty old dogs and currently have a 15 year old deaf and toothless rescue yorkie named Brego. I also recently adopted a yorkie puppy named Sam. I keep a lot of houseplants and aquariums, and am happy to care for those while you’re away.

I try to keep to your pet's routine as closely as possible. I use a force-free approach to all pet care. While I don’t offer training sessions, I am happy to work on basic behaviours with your pet during the sit.

Amanda was professional and thorough with our kitties. She even brought her own cat toy which they fell in love with and we promptly had to buy! She took incredibly beautiful pictures of our girls and it was one of our favorite parts of our day, getting to see her check ins!

I could tell just by meeting Amanda that she loves animals and would be a good person to have drop in for my cat Binks. She followed all the instructions I left and kept me updated about everything. Schedule
I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule and am usually available evenings, weekends, and holidays. I’ve been doing Rover sits for years, and love having long term clients.
