Safety, trust & environment

I believe every dog has their own routine, personality, and needs, so I always tailor my care to what makes them most comfortable. Whether I'm visiting your home or caring for your pup in mine, I'll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. For drop-in visits, I'll follow your pet's normal routine, including feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, administering medication if needed, and of course lots of love. During walks, I prioritize your dog's safety while making sure they get the exercise and mental stimulation they need. For daycare in my home, your dog will have a calm, comfortable environment with supervised play, walks up to three times a day, potty breaks as needed, and plenty of time to rest. My friendly 20-pound Mini Labradoodle, River, enjoys having canine visitors, and all interactions are carefully supervised to ensure everyone is safe and comfortable. I'll also send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

Information Amanda K. would like to know about your pet

Before caring for your pet, I'd love to learn as much as I can about their routine and personality. Please let me know about their feeding schedule, potty routine, favorite activities, energy level, and any commands they know. It's also important to share any medical conditions, medications, allergies, fears, or behaviors I should be aware of, such as leash reactivity, anxiety, or escape tendencies. If your dog will be staying in my home for daycare, please let me know how they interact with other dogs so I can make sure they're a good fit with my friendly Mini Labradoodle, River. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience that feels as close to home as possible, and the more I know about your pet, the better I can care for them.

A typical day

I love keeping dogs active, engaged, and happy! Depending on each dog's personality and energy level, we might go on neighborhood walks, play fetch or tug-of-war, explore new smells outside, or enjoy interactive toys and games. For dogs staying for daycare, they'll also have the opportunity to socialize and play with my friendly Mini Labradoodle, River, if they're comfortable around other dogs. Of course, not every dog wants to play all day, so I'm just as happy to spend time giving belly rubs, cuddles, or simply relaxing together. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, loved, and like they're on their own little vacation while you're away.

Pet care experience

Hi, I'm Amanda! I'm originally from Dallas, TX, and recently moved to Orlando. I've been pet sitting for over two years, primarily for families in my neighborhood, and caring for dogs is something I genuinely love. As a dog mom myself, I know how stressful it can be to leave your dog with someone else. My goal is to provide the kind of care and communication that I would want for my own dog, so you can enjoy your day knowing your pup is safe, happy, and well cared for. For doggy daycare, I only accept one client at a time. This allows me to provide individualized attention, closely monitor every interaction, and focus on your dog's specific needs throughout the day. While they won't be part of a large daycare group, they will get to share my home with my dog, River. She is a very friendly 20-pound minature labradoodle. She's gentle, social, and has grown up around dogs of all sizes and ages, including seniors, so she's great at reading other dogs' cues and knowing when they want to play or simply relax. For everyone's safety and comfort, I only accept daycare dogs who are friendly with dogs, and all interactions are closely supervised to make sure everyone has a fun, positive experience. For daycare guests, I am home with them throughout the day and provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, enrichment, and plenty of affection. I live in a first-floor apartment with direct access to large grassy areas through my patio gate, making it easy to get outside whenever needed. If your dog prefers multiple walks or extra potty breaks, I'm happy to accommodate their routine. I also send regular photo and video updates so you can see how your pup is doing while you're away. I know how much peace of mind those updates provide because I look for the same thing when my own dog is in someone else's care. All of my daycare guests get to free roam the home and are welcome on the furniture, just as they would be in their own home. Because I am home throughout the day, your dog will be supervised at all times. If your dog is crate-trained and you'd like them to have crate time during their stay, you're welcome to bring their crate so we can maintain their normal routine. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, and anxious or shy dogs. My own dog can be shy when meeting new people, so I understand the patience, structure, and reassurance that some dogs need to feel comfortable in a new environment. I always allow dogs to adjust at their own pace and never force interactions. I'm conveniently located less than 10 minutes from SeaWorld, approximately 15 minutes from Universal Orlando, and about 20 minutes from Walt Disney World, making drop-off and pickup easy for both local families and vacationing guests. I also offer flexible pickup times, including late-night pickups until 1:00 a.m. by prior arrangement. I know theme park days, special events, and fireworks nights can run later than expected, and I want you to enjoy your time without worrying about rushing back for your dog. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your pup and provide them with a safe, comfortable, home-away-from-home experience!

Amanda did a great job watching our baby!

Amanda is my daughter and she is very mature. She has always been very punctual, respectful, and responsible. We have two labradoodles at home that she absolutely adores and she takes excellent care of them. They are both currently seniors but she has helped train them since they were pups. She is away at college right now and misses her dogs immensely and is looking for a way to get some extra time in with some dogs.I know it would make her very happy to be able to meet so many different dogs. She is an excellent dog mama, I highly recommend her because she would truly care about your animal being in good hands!
