Mornings start with caring for our own furry crew before heading out to look after yours—and we also schedule our nonprofit outreach work around our clients’ pet care needs. Every day is thoughtfully planned to make sure both our pets, and yours, get the time, love, and attention they deserve.

We work to build trust between your animals and us. Every situation is different, but before our scheduled time we will ask you about your pets to know how best to gain their trust. When we are with your animals, safety is key. They get our undivided attention except for taking their photos for you as well as any messages we may have for you about them. Having been in VetMed, Amanda know what signs to look for for any injury or illness.

Important information to know about your pet ahead of time is the pets activity level, degree of health, age and receptiveness to new people and experiences.
A typical day
Fun activities we would do with the dogs that we watch are different games depending on what they like, getting to know them and their toys and see what their preferences. Special places to go on walks or wherever the dog is most comfortable. If the owner is comfortable then we will walk the dog in a local park or wherever the owner prefers. If we are pet sitting for an extended period of time, or even just a few days, and the owner wants their dog brought to the dog park, our vehicle is set up to safely transport animals as we transport our own in it.

Hi there! I’m Amanda, and alongside my husband, Josh, we’re a husband-and-wife pet-sitting team now proudly serving the Colorado Springs area! We recently moved here in July 2025 from just outside of New York City, bringing with us years of experience, a deep love for animals, and our own furry crew—four amazing cats (Mopar, Durango, Viper, and our newest addition, Hemi the Maine Coon), plus Nash, our loyal dog and my service companion. With my background in veterinary medicine and Josh’s first response experience, we bring a unique combination of skills to ensure your pets are safe, comfortable, and cared for like family while you’re away. We understand how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s hands, and we take that responsibility to heart. We specialize in senior pet care, medication administration, and personalized care for pets with special needs—but every animal we meet gets the same love, patience, and attention to detail we give our own. In September 2025, we also founded Pay It Fur-Ward, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping the homeless and their pets throughout the Colorado Springs area. To support this mission, all tips we receive go directly to our nonprofit, helping provide food, supplies, and care for those in need. For the past several years, whenever we have needed pet care, we have always asked Amanda and Josh to care for our cat, Sierra. Our cat loves them and is always happy and well taken care of. When we return from a trip, we know that she still loves us but wants to have more visits from Amanda and Josh. In return, they love our cat and miss her when they don’t see Sierra for a while. Now we are very sad because Amanda and Josh are moving to Colorado. If you need pet care for your fur babies, be sure to hire them.
