I have a super friendly, well behaved pup that loves to run around and have a good time with our client friends. She would be along for the ride for any in home-sitting so please consider if your pets get along with others before booking. I make sure everyone is well fed, watered, cuddled and get good potty time so there are no issues while you’re away.

Please let me know if there are any issues with other pets, my babies love all visitors but I do understand that other dogs might not.
A typical day
If it is a nice day than I love to hike with my dog or play fetch/frisbee in the yard. If it's a wet/cold day, we will spend extra time inside playing and cuddling after potty time. I will also spend time brushing your pup and my dog will keep him/her fully entertained in between!

Pet care experience
I am currently a business owner with the ability to make my own schedule so I am available whenever your furrbabies need me. I have experience being a vet tech, dog trainer and worked for The Charles County Humane Society, I volunteer for many animal rescue organizations as a foster parent and have been dog walking and sitting for my friends, family and clients for over 20 years. I love spending my extra time with animals of all kinds and growing amazing relationships with them and their parents, especially by leaving notes about how things went and taking lots of pictures during our time together. I like to make sure that your pets are well taken care of and have treats and fresh water every visit. :) My skills go beyond dogs and cats as I am experienced in caring for chickens, goats, horses, fish, bunnies, sugar gliders, etc so please don’t hesitate to ask for other care. It gets charged according to the time limit in the case of other animals.

We were in Lexington area for a wedding and had our pup with us who is not accustomed to being alone for an extended period of time and needed to find someone to come to the rental to walk, feed and sit with our pup while at the event. This is our first time not only using Rover.com but having someone other than family care for our dog. Let’s just say I was more than anxious. But Amanda put me immediately at ease. I knew from her responsiveness as well as welcoming way.we had found the right sitter. So glad we found her and would highly recommend.
Amanda was an absolutely perfect dog sitter and house guest. She is clearly very knowledgeable about dogs and loves them. She kept us updated daily, sending pics and asking about any details of care we had not mentioned. The house was immaculate when we returned. She’s also just a nice person that we very much enjoyed meeting. We’ll definitely want her to do our dog care whenever she’s available.
Amanda cared for our two cats during drop in visits. She is Good with communication and it was nice to have updates with pictures. We would use this service again if needed. We recommend her!
